You woke up and groaned. You yawned and stared at the ceiling. What am I doing with my life? You thought as you laid on the bed. You yawned again and grabbed your phone. The time was 10:30 AM and you sighed. You quickly got dressed and made a small breakfast. You spread the jelly on a piece of toast and ate it. You grabbed your keys and left for work,which was at Game Stop. The only place you felt comfortable other than your home. Being a gamer girl isn't easy. So much pressure is on your back to be good at every game. Because if a girl messes up on a game many people will say that girls shouldn't play video game and that they're horrible at it.
Every gamer girl knows that. Girls have bullied you at school because of your fashion sense and hobby choices. All you thought this was is Sexist bullshit that was just not needed in the world. You had more guy friends then friends that were girls. And they called you werid because of that.
The thoughts ran through your mind of the horrible names you tried to push away,but to no avail. You drove into the Game Stop parking lot and stopped the car. You took the key and unlocked the door,since it was your turn to open up shop. You turned on the open sign and sighed. Mondays were always slow. Just the usual costumer every hour. Some more employees came for their own shift (I almost put Shit XD) But never acknowledged you.
People don't get gamers sometimes. They think that gamers are people with no lives,no jobs,and that they live in their mom's basement. Its not always the that case. Gamers game for an escape from reality and strive to be good at something. Or they just want to get away from their problems. And then some just want to be entertained. But you count among all of those reasons. At 12:00 pm a girl with a older guy came in. The girl had black curly hair with red glasses and brown eyes. She was wearing a black jacket with navy blue denim shorts and red converse high tops. You were currently at the register while others were stocking and cleaning.
"Hello do you have a list of the games that are coming out this year?" The girl asked while the guy she was with stood next to her.
"Um Yes let me get you the list" You said as you opened a filer and found the list. You handed it to her and she smiled.
"Thank you!" Her voice was familiar so you decided to talk to her more.
"Excuse me but do you play Black Ops 3 by any chance?" You asked her politely
"Yep!"
"Is your gamertag Houndsneclipse?" You asked again feeling a bit like a stalker.
"Um yes"she replied a bit werided out.
"I'm Getrektkids27! Well I'm actually Y/N" You said smiling a bit.
"Wow! I'm Sam!" The guy she was with elbowed her in the side as another costumer,a monster, came in. The monster was a skeleton with a blue jacket with a picture of a white controller,black basketball shorts with a white line down the side.and sky blue Jordans. He looked at the games lining the walls going down the Xbox One section. "So Y/N are you doing the gaming compition? I know Getdunkedonkiddo was he told me" Sam said
"Oh yeah! I need to sign up today"
"Yeah so do I,how about we meet up Taco Bell?" Sam asked hoping you would say yes.
"Sure! Um ill give you my number" You said as you got out a piece of paper and wrote down your number. You handed her the piece of paper and she smiled.
"Okay! So at 5:00?"
"Yeah! I get off at 4:30 so I should be there on time if not then text or call me." Sam nodded as the skeleton got in line. Sam turned around amd her smile grew wider.
"Sans! I didn't know you were here!" Sam said almost yelling
"Heya Sam"
"You know Getrektkids27?"
"Yeah?"
This is her! Say hi!" Sans looked at you with a smile plastered on his face
"Heya Getrektkids27 Im Getdunkedonkiddo or my real name is Sans"
"Oh um hi! Im Getrektkids27 or Y/N" You told him
"Hey Y/N! How about we invite Sans to Taco Bell with us?" Sam asked
"Yeah that would be awesome! Howzabout it Sans?"
"Sure"
"I'll put us all in a group chat on texting when I get home I got to go bye! And thanks Y/N for the list!" You nodded
"Bye!" You and Sans said at the same time. Sam walked out with the other guy and left.
"So your the famous Getrektkids27?" Sans asked
"Uh yeah"
"Nice nice, I better go my bro is waiting for me, see ya at Taco Bell" Sans said you were about to say bye back. But he was gone already.
