Ravil arrived at the neurologist's office feeling nervous about the possible results. He left relieved after being told that there was almost no swelling left in his brain.
He sat in silence, now not even shooting a green-eyed glance at his father as they headed back home.
And when they actually got home, Ravil ate a quick snack from the kitchen in which his mother used to cook so lovingly (since she died, all Ravil and his father ate was fast-food and microwave noodles), then headed back up to his room, where he played Warcraft for about fifteen minutes before discovering that it wasn't quite as fun without Artem around. That's when Ravil decided to take a nap.
As he fell asleep, he didn't notice the sound of the front door opening, then shutting, and his father's car grumbling to life in the garage.
