"Ravil? Ravil!"
Ravil realized that someone was shaking him. He opened his eyes and waited for them to focus. Once they did, he bitterly recognized his father's face. He grumbled, then pushed his father's hands away. "Leave me alone."
"They found you in the lake," his father said. "They said the water was up to your neck and that you would've drowned if they'd come after you much later."
"I said, leave me alone!" Ravil snapped. "I don't want to see you right now!"
His father's eyes, green like Ravil's, widened, and he ran out of the hospital room. Ravil thought he saw tears streaming down the old man's face as the door clicked shut.
Feeling odd without his glasses but not feeling strong enough to reach over and grab them to put them on, Ravil stared blankly at the strikingly white hospital wall until his eyelids drooped and sleep welcomed him with a warm embrace.
