Hey guys! So this chapter will mostly be focused on Maggie and Glenn. A pic of Maggie and Glenn (Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun) is above. Enjoy!
"Good mornin', sunshine," Maggie smiled as she gently rubbed the back of Enid's head.
"Mmmmhh," Enid groaned.
Maggie laughed. "You need to get up now."
"What time is is?"
"Three thirty."
"In the morning or afternoon?"
"Afternoon."
"So, I've been sleeping for three and a half hours, I missed my shift, and you didn't tell me?"
"Don't worry about it. We all agreed that you should sleep. You were up all last night talkin' to Carl after you had an already stressful and tiring day yesterday," Maggie soothed.
Enid looked around the infirmary for a window. She found the daylight just as her eyes began to adjust.
"Wait. We?"
"Glenn, Carol, Rick, Michonne, Sasha, Abraham...everyone. Daryl told the people what happened in a town meeting an hour ago."
"Ehh. That means lots of questions and attention, doesn't it...?"
"Unfortunately for you, yes," she sighed, knowing Enid hated being the center of attention.
"Then if I don't have to go on watch, I think I'll just stay here," Enid replied.
"Okay. I'll tell Rick. I'm sure he'll be fine with it."
"Thanks, Maggie."
"Anytime. Oh, and Enid?"
"Mmhhmm?"
"I'll bring you some dinner in a few hours. For now, there's a sandwich on the table in Denise's room. Oh! Also, you looked really sweet sleepin' on Carl's chest during your nap," she smiled.
Enid rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Love ya!"
"See you, Maggie."
The door to the infirmary carefully closed behind Maggie as she walked down the street to her own house. The quaint, white, two-story house was cozy. Maggie loved it there. Glenn, her husband, was resting on the light-brown love seat with his feet propped up on the wooden coffee table in front of the tv. He was currently reading a book as Maggie walked in the front door.
"Hey, darlin'" Maggie called to her husband.
"Hey! How's Enid and Carl?" Glenn asked as he put down the book to get up and hug his wife.
"They're doing pretty well for a couple of teenagers who were held hostage and went through some major traumatizin' events," she sighed as she embraced Glenn in a big, bear hug.
"Well, that's to be expected, I guess," he said, pulling away from the hug. "So how is Rick? He can't be taking this very lightly."
The couple began to walk into he light-blue kitchen with white counters and appliances.
"I don't know. I haven't talked to him yet," the cowgirl said as she leaned on the white island in the middle of the large kitchen.
"I think you should," Glenn remarked while he walked up behind Maggie and began rubbing her shoulders. "You have a way with words."
Maggie turned around to face Glenn. "You know, I should be the one rubbing your shoulders. After the day you had yesterday-"
"Yeah, but you have a life growing inside of you." Glenn placed his hand on her stomach and moved his thumb back and forth slightly. "There's no way my day could be as stressful as yours right now. Plus, you had to worry about me," he laughed, making Maggie laugh as well.
"Seems to me like I'm not the only one who has a way with words," Maggie caressed Glenn's cheek.
"Yeah. I guess not," he smiled as he leaned in to kiss his love.
He could feel his pregnant wife smile beneath his lips.
"I love you more than you could ever know," he hummed.
"Why don't you prove it to me by kissing me again?" Maggie giggled.
"Haha. Come here," Glenn laughed as he kissed Maggie once more.
"Glenn! Maggie!" a woman's voice yelled as the front door to the house slammed open.
The pair separated and turned to see Tara skidding across their wooden floors, screeching to a sudden halt. Sweat and panic covered her face and drenched her dark hair.
"What's wrong?" Maggie gulped.
"It's Judith!" Tara cried. "She's gone!"
Sorry for the shorter chapter guys.
What on earth is Tara talking about? Where's Judith? Is she okay?
