"Carl? Carl! No! Don't you dare get up!" Maggie yelled as she watched a boy filled with the rage of ten-thousand burning suns try to get up out of his hospital bed. "You haven't used your legs in...well that doesn't matter, but you have a concussion! How do you think you're gunna get from here to...to...wherever you're goin'?"
"Carl, listen to Maggie! She knows what she's talking about," Enid advised.
The young sheriff just yanked his sheets back, sat up, and started to swing his legs off the end of the infirmary bed. He locked his jaw and glared at his feet. His brows met together in the middle to express his concern.
"Hey! No...Carl?! Please, don't!" Enid concerned.
He was now fully seated upright. His bare feet touched the cold tile as shivers ran up his spine. Without saying a word, he place a hand on either side of his thighs and pushed up off the bed. His legs shook as he stood on his own two feet. The two ladies stared in shock at Carl. He was standing. He was perfectly fine. He pursed his lips and looked up from under his long, dirty hair to see Enid and Maggie looking at him; Maggie at his legs and Enid at his bare chest.
Enid's eyes quickly fluttered up to meet his as her mouth gaped.
"I'm perfectly fine. Now let me go find my dad so I can go find my missing sister. Please..." Carl scowled.
"But your IV!" Maggie pointed out.
She watched as he tore it off his arm in a spit second. He had hated that thing since Denise first stabbed it into his arm.
"Well...ok. Fine, but I'm not lettin' you go out there without a shirt, young man," Maggie ordered.
"And at least get some shoes," Enid added.
Carl huffed but agreed. All he had on was his jeans from the night before in the woods.
"Um...I'll go get 'em," Maggie offered. She turned away and headed for the door.
"Carl," Enid started as she took a step closer to him.
"Don't. I don't want you to stop me. You can't stop me. My baby sister is out there. Maybe she's dead. I don't know. That's the problem. I have to find out. No one can get between us. Not the people who have her, not walkers, not nature...not even you. I'm going to find her whether you like it or not. And if you think for a second that I'll choose to stay here and do nothing but sit and wait around for my dad to come back empty-handed..."
"Carl!" Enid shouted. Her face was full of concern but also anger.
"What?"
"I was just going to say good luck."
She turned around and headed out the door, the wood slamming behind her.
Carl sighed and sat back down. What had he just done? Enid was gone to God knows where and Judith was still out there probably shivering in the cold of fall. Just then, Maggie ran in with Carl's shoes, socks, and a plaid shirt.
"Here ya go," she said quietly. Looking around, she asked, "Where's Enid?"
"She left?" he said as he began throwing his shirt around his arms and buttoning the front.
"Oh," Maggie sighed.
Carl bent over to begin putting his socks and hunting boots on. He struggled a little at double-knotting his boots, so Maggie figured it was probably from the concussion.
"Do ya need any help?" she sweetly asked.
"No. I'm good. Oh, uh...thanks."
"No problem," Maggie smiled.
Carl brushed his knees off as he stood up again.
"Alright," he said.
"Ready?"
"Always."

"Knock, knock," Michonne called as she opened the door to her home where Fawn was currently staying. She walked through the front door and looked around. "Hello?"
"Oh! Hey, Michonne," Fawn greeted, stepping from out of a nearby hallway with a book in her hands. "How are you?"
"I'm well. How are you?" Michonne replied.
"I'm fine. So, what's up? Is everything okay?" the redhead asked.
"Well...not exactly," she answered.
"Oh no. What happened?"
Michonne walked to the living room couch and sat down. Fawn followed. "Rick's daughter, Judith, is gone. She was kidnapped."
"By whom?"
"Here," Michonne said as she handed Fawn the note from this Ron guy that she had taken from Rick before she left.
Fawn read the note carefully and handed it back when she was done.
"Can you tell me anything about this at all?" Michonne asked soothingly.
"Umm..."
"Fawn, it's okay. You can tell me."
She sighed and looked down at her folded hands.
"Fawn?"
"Yeah. Um...huh. It's been a while."
"What has?"
"Since I last talked to Ron."
Sorry it's kinda short. So...
Will Rick let Carl go with them on the journey to find Judith?
Who's Ron?
How does Fawn know Ron?
Love y'all! Hope you liked it!
