Enid rushed to the tall, familiar figure with arms open wide, tears streaming down her face from the events that had just taken place. Her torso collided with Michonne's as she wrapped her tired arms around her waist, embracing her in a tight hug. The dim moonlight shone on the two females's faces. Enid's eyes were tightly shut with a furrowed brow. She could now taste the salty tears as they streaked down her face and into the corners of her mouth and down her chin. Meanwhile, Michonne hugged the girl tightly, rubbing her back. She had seen Adam's actions from a distance and stopped them before anything happened to Enid. Although she had never been hugged so tightly, Michonne stroked Enid's head and whispered to her, telling her that everything would be okay and that the young man (Adam) couldn't hurt anyone ever again. When Enid's tears finally seemed to slow, she looked up at Michonne and searched her eyes, looking for some sort of hope.

"Where's Glenn? Have you seen Daryl? Does he have Carl? What about the others?" Enid suddenly bombarded Michonne with questions, remembering that she wasn't the only one in peril.

"Woah, slow down there. You've just been through a lot," Michonne said, letting go of Enid.

Enid took in a deep breath and asked again, "What happened?"

"When you and Carl didn't come back after an hour, Rick sent Daryl and Glenn for you. I guess they found you."

Enid chuckled a little, making her headache worse.

"Once the sun started setting, and the four of you weren't back yet, Rick sent Tara, Abraham, and me out to look for you. We split up. After a half hour or so, I heard someone shouting. Turned out, it was you and that guy. When he pulled a gun on you, I slowly crept up behind him. I was surprised that you didn't see me, but I suppose it was getting dark. So tell me what happened on your side?" Michonne asked.

"I'll tell you later. We have to make sure Glenn is okay. Let's go!" Enid said as she started back towards where the group was keeping Glenn. But before she could get very far, she felt a hand grip hers. She turned around to see Michonne giving her a disappointed glare.

"If you rush, you won't be able to think clearly," Michonne stated, adjusting her katana strap.

"I am thinking clearly. We have to save Glenn!" Enid shouted.

"No, you're not," Michonne scolded. "Come on," she tugged. "I think I know a faster way."

Enid tensed up for a moment, her stubbornness clouding her thoughts. Finally, she relaxed and felt Michonne's hand loosen its grip and then drop. Michonne nodded and pointed with her eyes to the direction in which they'd be going. She ran ahead of Enid, pausing every now and then to make sure everything was okay. Enid ended up taking Michonne's hand again to help her go faster. She was exhausted from the day's events; from taking watch that morning behind Alexandria's strong walls to going out with Carl to see if there were any fish in the creek, to being chased, taken captive, almost eaten by walkers, to holding someone hostage, and almost being...well...she didn't want to think about that now. She had to keep running. Enid was tough, and she didn't know Michonne as well as she knew Carl or Glenn, but she knew if Carl trusted her, she could trust Michonne, too, and lean on her for help. They ran for quite a while, but it did seem to be faster than the way Adam had taken. Enid swallowed and tried to soothe her dry throat as they neared the spot where Glenn was being held.
300 yards.

200 yards.

100 yards.

Enid spotted Glenn in the distance, still on his knees, with the others from the group surrounding him. A faint glow kissed their faces as a small fire danced about two or so yards away from Glenn's feet.

"At least he's warm," Enid thought.

Michonne and Enid were now stopped behind two, intertwining trees. In the dark, it looked like one, huge tree. They both peered from behind it to watch what was going on. Deb sat in front of Glenn, pointing the blonde man's gun at Glenn. They were having a conversation. Neither Enid nor Michonne could make it out.

"C'mon," Michonne whispered.

Enid nodded and followed Michonne to the back of another tree, closer to the fire.

"Here. Take this," Michonne said as she handed Enid a pistol.

Enid looked down at it in a bit of shock.

"Know how to work one of these?" Michonne asked.

"Yeah. Um, where did you get this?"

"I got it off a walker on my way to find you guys. Why?"

Michonne might not have been able to see it through the darkness, but Enid was relieved.

"It belonged to Tom."

"Who's Tom?" Michonne asked.

"I'll...I'll explain later."

"You knew him?"

"Yeah. It's good that he's dead," Enid smiled.

Michonne looked a little confused, but she just shrugged it off.

"Ready?" she asked looking down at Enid.

Enid nodded.

"Okay. On three. One...two...."

Hey guys! Sorry that this was a bit of a filler chapter. Hope you liked it anyways. Also, don't worry. I haven't forgotten about Carl. Hopefully, he'll have some lines in the near future.
