Meeting Mother Inlaw?

Three days.

It has been three days the day I last saw him and since the time we did that to his Office. I feel my cheeks blushes everytime those images keep flashing back now and then.
I shook my head. I should stop remembering those moment for I need to concentrate on what food do I have to cook for Drews Mother. Mrs. Burlington told me awhile ago that she's dropping by for lunch and shes taking me out for a lil' get to know. I dunno why the need to know me if I was actually just a girl who will pass by their lives.
As time flew so fast I get to realize that  actually doing one of my Mom's recipe "Caramel Roasted Chicken" inside is a ground pork with a lot of different vegetable cut into cubes and of course a lil' bit of honey and crash lemon on it. Mixed together with lots and lots of different spices to make it more tastier and ozing with aroma. I rub the outer side of the chicken with lemon juice, a dip of honey, brown sugar and the spices. This are all the ingredients needed and ta-da!! Viola " Caramela Ala Roasted Chicken" is cooked and ready to eat.
I have known from Annie that Drew is not joining us. I was a bit sad on that coz' I really want him to taste what I cook. I also cook egg soup and buttered vegetable but maybe next time. For now I will enjoy my moment with his Mom. I asked Mrs. Burlington  if Mrs. Frances Margarette Evans OK with the word as in OK, and she simply nods and smile. Oh well, I hope I will be OK.
"Ms. Amanda Grace Beckham. Such a beauty, I have heard so much about you. Now let's go to the dining, I brought a Cake I baked, Drew actually loves cake darling so I guess you better learn how to make one" she said triumphantly. She looks classy and nice. I just hope it's not fake.
We have finish eating and she was actually praising the food I cooked for her. She asked me about it and asked me if it's ok if she can get the recipe. I simply nodded and smile.
We are now at the Mall shopping for maternal dress. She was actually paying and choosing everything although she ask me once in awhile if she seems unsure of colors and style. I was actually having fun.
Then the time came that we get to have are refreshment. Sitting comfortable on a chair looking at the passers-by along the huge window glass. "Tell me Amanda darling, how do you find Drew? Is he nice with you, I hope his treating you right. I don't want to agree actually on this set-up but his to eager. As if we needed that much money. But you know some deals wanted a family man as a  business partner. Especially now that were expanding. We're ok truly, if only his father is still alive" she finish while sighing.
I swallow every saliva hanging in my throat before answering his question "His actually fine Madame. But I find him too much controlling" I chuckle, I really don't have to say the last sentence but there is no turning back anymore. She already heard it.
"Oh darling, he got it from his father. His a greedy man you know. Always take what he wants but you'll learn to control him. I can see myself on you. Strong woman. But don't be materialistic like me or you might both fall, My Baby did great miracles in putting things back altogether when his Father died. I really thought we can't make it but we did survive he did survive even surpass what his Father left. So please be more understanding and be patient with him, he will soon open up with you" she said proudly.
I take all her reminder seriously. I think I will be needing it sooner or later.
"I think my son likes you a lot Amanda. I have never seen my Baby look at you with full of admiration and concern" she said smiling.
We parted ways. Shes Meeting her friends in a Coffee shop near by for a lil chat.
I was thinking on the last conversation that we have as she whisper through my ears "Welcome to the Family soon!  Mrs. Evans. I already like you for Drew" she said genuinely.
She can't be serious.
