Friday

Throughout the week, Hannah and her group of Barbies were being more nasty than usual, which is saying something.

On Tuesday, Kylee, (Hannah's right hand assistant,) went up to Madelyn and told her, "Have you ever realized why no boys look at you? I know why. It's because you're as fat as a pig. You should be on that 'My 600 Pound Life' show."

That might not seem bad, but weight is a touchy subject for Mads, if you know what I mean. Yeah, back in freshman year, Madelyn had Anorexia. We constantly tried stuffing her face with food, but we eventually took the whole thing to the nurse. Maddy was mad at us for a while, but she got over it. She got medical help and got better.

Madelyn ran off after that comment, and skipped a class. The thing was, she skipped art class. Maddy loves art class.

They said something to Joce, but she wouldn't tell us what they said. She was really ticked off for the rest of the day though.

Hailey, (Hannah's other stupid friend besides Tyra and Kylee,) said some pretty mean things to Mia, but she shrugged them off. They can't ever get to Mia, she has an outside made of Titanium.

They ignored me, which got me mad. I'm the one they hate, they're just bringing it out on my friends. It happened the next week too. They ignored me, but hit my friends hard. Why don't they just leave me? It would make their lives so much better and easier.

I search for Will in the hallway. I spot him talking to some girl. I march up to him and step between Will and the girl, who turns out to be....Hannah.

"Hey!" She complains. I ignore her though.

"Will, can we talk?" I ask, desperation in my voice.

A look of concern passes over his face. "What's wrong Elle?"

"Hello?" Hannah asks behind us.

Will lifts an arm to mine. I grab his hand. "Just follow me." I lead him away from Hannah, her calling after Will, all confused. I take him to an empty classroom, and shut the door.

"Ell-"

I put a finger in front of his face. "First off, why you talking to Hannah Will?"

"She came up to me, literally a second before you did. Don't know why."

"Okay. Secondly, I want to give you something. And, I just didn't want to give it to you in front of everybody and, well, because-"

Will chuckles. "You didn't want to seem like we were a thing? Elle, you just pulled me into an empty classroom in front of Hannah Strom."

(I told Will how I 'forgot' to tell my friends about him.)

I realize what he's saying, and it dawns on me. "Oh." I pause. "Oh, who cares?" Will gives me a puzzled look. I reach up and give him a peck on the lilps. "Here." I pull out a dirty white rubber band from my back pocket.

Will's eyes widen. "Is this the one?"

I nod.

A Year and a Half Ago

"My father is such a jerk. 'Get out! I have a date today! I don't want to meet your puny friend.' Ugh, he's so rude." I complained to Will. We'd just left my father's house, and were walking along the sidewalk to Will's house.
