"A hi dad!" i stuttered.

Oh god I'm gonna be in trouble.

"Where have you been?" he snapped.
"Out.."
I took my jacket off and laid it on the couch.
"At 14 I don't think so you have a curfew Mr."

I wanna say so many things, but that'll just make things worse..

I looked at him in a ashamed way.
"Weston" he paused "go apologize to your mother!"
"Why?" I asked.
"She is worried sick, and it's Your fault!"
As I turned around I heard him say "and by the way wes, your grounded, 2 weeks"

What!!??

After I apologized to my mom I stormed off to my room.
"Life sucks" I mumbled flopping on my bed.
The next day I got a message
From an unknown number:

Hey Romeo, Mario gave me your number and insisted me to text you!

Her message made me smile.
I changed the name to
Hailey

I texted her back.
Me: Hey loser, you got me grounded!

Hailey: who me😂😂👌👌

Me: yes you!!

Hailey: ha ha sorry not sorry

Me: go suck a big one!!

Hailey: well now you got my number text Me sometime!! I'm tired ttyl night bestie!

Bestie?

Me: ttyl night bestie😂😂✌✌

*two weeks later*

The whole time being grounded I seen Hailey once, and texted her 5 Times.
She was trying to convince me to sneak out..A Lot..but I chose not to.
Today was the last day of school, and the last day I was grounded.
I got dressed and ready. Before I left I looked in the mirror to make sure I look Poppin for..Hailey.

*At school*

I looked around the school for her, but nope couldn't find her.
We have no classes together so I can only ever find her in the hall or cafeteria.
I got my phone out and texted her.

Me: hey!! Last day of grounding!

But she didn't text back.
I walked around, and ended up losing hope.
I went to my locker to get my stuff out and return my books.
And there was Amara..nothing new.
"Last day of school!" She smirked.
"Yeeep!" I sighed.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"Can't fi- A I was grounded for 2 weeks" my eyes grew wide at my mistake.
"Oh" She said suspiciously.
"Yeah a gotta go" I smiled fake then walked away.

That was close!
I can't slip and say I'm looking for Hailey when she could be anywhere and hear and then know I kinda like her!

At the end of the day and the bell rang I realized I forgot to turn in one of my books. I rushed to that class room, and seen Mr. Roger at his desk.
"Hey! I forgot to turn in my book!" I said handing the book to him.
"Ah thank you Mr. Koury! Have fun in high school!" he smiled.
"I Will"
As I walked out I bumped into someone, and their book, and papers flew everywhere.
"A dude I'm sorry!" I said picking up the papers.
I heard the person giggle.

That giggle! I know that giggle!!

I looked up and there was Hailey standing there all cute giggling.
"We gotta stop doing this" she added.
"for real though it's almost as if.." I paused "were suppose to know each other"
"Yeah" she laughed sarcastically.
She didn't act like it was true, but I honestly believe it.
I picked her papers up and her book.
"A can I walk you?" I asked.
"Yeah hold on" she said pointing in Mr.Rogers class room.
She ran inside and handed him a book "sorry I forgot to return it"
"It's OK have fun in high school" he replied.
She nodded then ran up to me.
"Ok we can go now!"

I really believe were suppose to know each other now!

"Oh ok"
She hugged me forcefully and said "Ahh I heard your grounding is done"
Then released.
"Yeah" I blushed.
"So that means...me you and old ice cream shop!!" she smiled huge.
"YAASS!" I laughed throughout my arms up awkwardly.
"Wesssy poo" she laughed.
"Hey now were over that topic"
"Whatever!" she punched my shoulder.
"Lets go!!" she began to

"Ummm...how about! Karlei and Jordan's house!!" she laughed.
