There once was a happy girl,
Not devoid of void or spark,
Who never craved the silence,
That calmed her frantic heart. There once was a happy girl,
Not tainted by the blade,
Who never cried herself to sleep,
And wished the morning to be delayed. There once was a happy girl,
Not betrayed by her best friend,
Who would blame herself for the loss,
Wondering why it had to end. There once was a happy girl,
Not terrified of talking,
Who would always watch the floor,
Every time she started walking. There once was a happy girl,
But now that girl is gone,
For she was thrown into a world,
Where happiness doesn't belong.
