When Yue opened her eyes again, it was to a metal ceiling.
How it didn't seem to even resemble the really tall, white ceiling with the chandelier that could be identified as the one of her room, didn't actually scare her the first thirty seconds after her vision stopped being blurry around the edges, when her five senses struggled to wake up as well. Her body hurt, the base of her neck throbbing in ways she had not felt since her mandatory training with Lao G when ice had been her best friend, her arms and legs and upper body so heavy it wouldn't have been a surprise to see something sitting on top of her. But as the woman processed that she was actually alone, Yue too realized she was something that strongly resembled an infirmary, and that she was lying somewhere she didn't know.
After the thirty seconds were up, though, she shoot up from bed so quickly dark spots flew in front of her eyes so fast she didn't even had a chance of blinking.
"What the..." The mumble died in her hand as she rubbed her neck with a hand, bended over her own self with forehead pressed against the thin sheet that had apparently being covered her. When Yue was sure no sparks would fly this time around, she woman was able of slowly raising her head to take a look around, despite her neck almost begging for her not to move at all. First thing she noticed, everything was made out of metal, from the hospital beds to the walls and the ceiling and the floor and all the equipment placed around- Extremely high level technology, actually. Such machines she wondered if she had somehow ended up inside a Navy base, though it would seem impossible seeing the lack of guards and cells and the blue logo. At first Yue could predict nervousness spreading through her whole body when the realization of being alone in a place she didn't know sank in, but then the memories of what she had last seen kicked in with the force of a thousand buckets of icy cold water.
Oh.
Oh.
"You have to be kidding me"
When she first stepped in Shabondy, an old lady from whom she had bought some fruit was kind enough to warn her about the so called supernovas, and how the woman referred as a whole group being in the same place, there was no way for Yue to not think that Law was there. Because she had not seen even one of the rookies it had been a relief, and it was an incentive to work faster and be done with it, heart set on not involving herself in any type of problems, no matter how probable it was to see him- But that was the thing, although it was possible, she had not expected to see Law up close. She had been grateful to not cross paths with him on Shabondy, knowing the chances of his crew being there were so high it was almost laughable to think she could sneak around without being spotted, but she had never thought about actually exchange words with him, though he had been the one speaking while she had been the one throwing punches, what had that been about again? The woman groaned into her hand, praying the sea would split open and swallow her whole, massaging the throbbing temples with her fingers. Just what happened after that? Shots, and screaming, and crew members gaping, a shore getting farther and farther away... why was there a big whole somewhere on the story? There was about no way she could have fallen asleep, and there had not been any sedative involved, not that she could remember. However...
"Did...." At first, the images were blurry, the sounds nothing but noise in the background. There were gunshots and people screaming, bodies floating on the air, her body crashing against the floor- A groan left her lips and a hand covered her face when she realized just what she had done, because hitting a captain across the face in his ship and in front of his crew wasn't the brightest thing ever, even if he deserved it. Kind of. Sort of. Maybe. Not the best thing to have second thoughts about, really. But there was a particularly memory that caught her attention, the thing that happened after her little outburst and after a warship appeared out of nowhere, a quick movement of hands before everything went dark "Did... did he hit me?"
