Hi guys! Here is my version of how Olive was discovered by Miss Peregrine. Enjoy!
(^∇^)3rd Person POV
"Mummy, Daddy!" Exclaimed Olive. "Help me! I'm floating away!"Olive's parents rushed over and jumped to pull Olive down from the ceiling. Olive was 5 years old and was very hard to take care of. On account of her floating away every 3 minutes.
Her parents tied Olive down to the stair railing and sighed.
"Olive, your father and I are going to make dinner now. We'll be in the kitchen, ok?"
"Kay!"
Olive knew that her parents does lots for her cause she floats. So, she decided to try and make them proud. She would make it to the kitchen door without floating away. Carefully, she edged herself to the door and then heard her parents talking.
Olive's parents had very conflicted feelings about her. On one hand, she was their daughter. Their only child and she trusts them. On the other hand, she is a lot of trouble and if word got out that she floats, she would be killed or something. Not to mention their own reputation would be ruined.
"She is our daughter! How can you possibly think of giving her away?" Said her mom.
"I don't think we are capable of doing this anymore. What happens when she gets older and we won't be there to help her? We should put her in better hands."
"Better hands? We've been doing this for 5 years! Practically 6! We are certainly capable of taking care of her."
"Honey," said Olive's dad. "She won't last long on her own. You saw what happened to the doctor when she was born. He fainted! How would the world react when they see Olive?"
Olive's mom sighed. "Alright. Just, leave me out of this. You do it and I'll stay here."
Olive, who was floating outside the door heard it all, but was only able to comprehend some of it because most of it was muffled. All she got was her dad was taking her somewhere and her mom was staying home. Olive was excited. A whole day with Daddy!
"Hey Olive! We are going on a trip! Just you and me!" Said her dad.
"Yay!"
"Just go say bye to Mummy and we can go."
"Bye bye Mummy! I'll see you when I get back!"
Olive's mom's heart just broke. She knew she wouldn't see Olive again. Tears poured out of her eyes. "Goodbye, my Olive. My sweet, precious Olive. Remember that Mummy always has loved you. Still loves you. And always will love you, ok?"
"Uh huh! I love you Mummy! And don't cry! You need to smile!" Olive went over and gave her mom a hug. Her mom gave a weak smile.
"I love you too, Sweetheart."
Olive went to her dad.
"Ready to go, Olive?"
"Yep!"
Olive's mother POV
My baby... My baby's gone. Why did I let him talk me into this? I love my Olive. No matter how much work she is. I'll never see her again... Oh! My Olive!Olive's dad POV
I feel a little guilty right now. Olive is so excited to be out of the house. She is my daughter, but she would never survive out in the world. She also wouldn't be accepted by society either. Yes, this is the right thing to do. But, what if the orphanage is mean to her? Oh...3rd person POV
Olive bounced in her seat. Her father stopped in front of a tall building. "ORPHANAGE FOR YOUNG GIRLS" was written in red paint on the front.
