“How the fuck can you guys like that music?” Kaleb say stretching once we are outside in the warm air.
“Don’t even Kaleb. You were singing along,” I defend.
“I was not,” he gasps.
“You so were babe,” Alex smiles and he frowns.
“Did you guys see how Zayn kept looking in our direction? I was going to die,” Alyssa says and I swear that someone turns a heater on, even though we are outside.
“Isn’t he the Mexican one?” Kaleb says.
“You can leave now,” I say highly offended.
“You can stay with me,” Alex says hugging him and he hugs her back.
“Vomit,” Alyssa says and we laugh even though we are receiving the middle finger from Kaleb. I don’t even know why people find that offensive. My phone starts going off playing ‘Diana’ by my boyfriend.
“How dare you listen illegally to that song?” Alyssa laughs jokingly and I roll my eyes at her. I check the caller I.D. to see that it’s my boyfriend.
“Hi,” I say.
“Hey babe,” he responds.
“Who is it?” Alex asks with a knowing smirk. Can she just go away?
“What’s up?” I ask.
“Is it him?” Alex says.
“Who’s him?” Kaleb asks.
“It is innit? It so is!” she screams and I swear that I am on fire from how embarrassed that I am.
“You still coming over tonight?” he asks me laughing, obviously hearing my friends.
“If you’re not too busy with that one thing,” I respond with an annoyed tone.
“You know that she means nothing to me babe,” Zayn argues.
“I know. I’m just messing around,” I tell him.
“That wasn’t very nice. I was concerned,” Zayn says and I laugh.
“What’re you guys talking about,” Alex says really close to me, making me walk forward. She doesn’t have this though, for she steals my phone.
“Hi. So can I finally know your name?” she says into the phone. Oh no. This can’t be good. What will he say? Will she recognize his voice? Would he be mad at me? I immediately go to take my phone away from her, which she isn’t expecting so I get it back.
“Sorry about that,” I say into the phone as Alyssa and Kaleb question Alex about everything that happened. We are still walking back to my grandma’s.
“It just caught me off guard, that’s all,” he responds.
“So tonight still?” I ask.
“Yeah. Let’s say maybe two in the morning?” he asks and I swear that my jaw drops ten feet.
“That’s late Z,” I tell him and I hear him sigh.
“I know. I have to take Perrie out for a date though and it’s only eleven. Please spend time with me? You can go in my room and hang out with Ed,” he tells me. I finally give in, too tired to fight.
“Fine. I’ll be there in ten minutes I guess,” I tell him.
“I love you,” he tells me and my heart flutters.
“I love you too,” I tell him and then hang up.
“Jesus Monica. You’re so slow!” Alex screams back and I frown.
