Secret Love

The next day.

Lindsey knew that Stevie was always running late, even though she'd always try her best not to be but she always was. He had offered to pick her up, but she declined after all he was interuppting 'her' schedule, but for him she'd give up anything to join him. Especially seeing as this meet-up was concerning a little lady of theirs.  

Lindsey waited in the booth, he had been waiting for over fifteen minutes. In the booth four rows down from him, is making a lot of noise, just before they were singing happy birthday and thought he had heard a familiar giggle that chimed in his head. He scratches his head, an action he uses as comfort for when he's anxious.... 

Sari herself is anxious, she knew her brother had been begging for this item for over a year and a half. But her brother Greyson 'the birthday boy' is reluctant to open the oblong gift, '' Oh come on Pussy open it'' David says growing impatient. Sari gives him a stern look that reminds him to watch his mouth; Greyson looks up at Sari, his eyes are greeny blue and he didn't look as identical to his older brothers who both had blonde hair and deep blue eyes. The three boys are Nancy and Vincen'ts birth-children, but all three were miracles seeing as Nancy was told she could not conceive: Greyson almost moans '' oh do I have to, this thing is big, everyone will stare''. Warren throws a fry at him '' Grey come on!'' with that Greyson tears an opening at the end of the object. He sees the tail of the board and pauses, Sari wiggles her eyebrows in delight, '' NO WAY!'' Greyson hisses. With that he practically shreds the gift paper away to reveal the 1976 shortboard surfboard that he had been eyeing in the pawn shop down town for over a year. He doesn't say anything, he just stares at the surfboard in awe. 

David chuckles '' happy birthday Bro'' he pats Greyson's back who looks back up to Sari '' how did you even? what?, Sari this thing cost six hundred and fifty dollars.'' She flashes him a smile '' I bartered the owner to make it four fifty, your brothers split the two fifty and I put the two hundred dollar tip I earned last week towards it''. Greyson realizes the sacrifice his older sister made, she shouldn't have, she does everything and works her ass off to support her brothers and pay the bills. She only ever uses what's left to save so she can buy something that cost an arm and a leg to make herself feel and look great. He shakes his head '' you shouldn't have'' she beams at him '' I wanted to, plus you deserved it you didn't get one F on your report card. Now try and make a goal to not get any D's the next school term.'' she adds.  

Greyson moves the board out of the way so he can stand up, he goes over to Sari's side. She may be his older adopted sister, but to him she was his only sister and he loved her no matter where she came from. Sari has an idea of what's coming '' Oh my gosh Greyson please don't we're in a crowded restuarant'' his older brothers give him a nod to dignify what he's about to do. She gives him a pleading look '' please lord no'' she shrieks in her mind. And in a split second, he grabs her into a piggy back position, she's squealing and telling her brother to put her down  '' Ah put me down you little ASS!''. For a fifteen year old he's very athletically built but still not quite as tall his older siblings.'' It's the victory lap'' all three of them say while Greyson hanging onto a frightened Sari on his back, runs around the restuarant everyone's attention on the young man carrying his older sister all the way to the other side yelling '' Victory lap.''  Near towards the end of it, her legs are so long that she's almost slipping from his grasp and he's only got her by the back of her knee and her left arm. 

The 'Victory lap' catches Lindsey's attention. His heart stops as he watches Sari shriek in delight and blush from embarassment, not to mention it's a massive coincedence, seeing as he's meeting Stevie here about twenty minutes ago. The victory lap takes his mind off how late Stevie is running and onto Sari who is now standing on the side of the booth. Her hands are layered over her face, she's still recovering from the humiliation that her brothers have put her through. Lindsey is blown away by how close she is with her brothers, they're almost like a wolf pack the four of them together.
