"Maddy! I need my notebook to study!" I spoke in a whisper yell.

She put her finger to her lips, "Shh, don't wanna alert the librarian, do you?" she smirked.

I groaned, "I'm leaving! Good luck on getting home." I said grabbing my other things, making sure I had the car keys. I stomped out of the doors of the library and unlocked the car.

"Wait up!" Maddy yelled, trying to catch up with me.

When she got close to the car, I pressed the horn, scaring her to death and I burst out laughing. She got in the car and handed my my notebook.

"That's payback," I snickered.

"Fine, but we are going to Panda, I'm starving."

"What's panda? Like the song?" I began mouthing the words. 'Panda, Panda, Panda-'

"PANDA EXPRESS!! Turn on the engine we are going right now," she threw her hands in the air.

"Okay okay,"

My phone began to ring, "Hang on Maddy, gotta answer this,"

I picked up my phone and realized,
1: it was already noon
2: Derek was calling me
3: I had his car

"shiitake mushrooms!" I yelled before answering the phone, and got a weird look from Maddy.

"What do you need?" I said slyly.

"Oh nothing I was just going to go to my car to get my wallet, when I realized my keys were missing!"

"Don't accuse me!" A smirk plastered on my face.

"Who else would have taken my keys AND car?"

"Um... A nurse?"

"wow. Okay well then I'll just tell the nurse you left and DID NOT EAT BREAKFAST!"

"I did." I said in the most serious tone I could.

"Right... When will you be back? I kinda need my car..."

"whenever I wanna come back, why? Miss my beautiful face?"

"Just missing my car, when you left I just wanted you to stay there,"

    "Ouch, too bad I don't care what you say, so why talk to you?" I hung up and sighed.

    Maddy looked at me, "You two love each other, if you guys date, I call being a godmother of your children, start the car."

   "Ew Maddy!" I slapped her arm, "that would never happen,"

would it?

"Oh and Maddy, get the wallet in the glove compartment and use that money to pay for lunch,"

When I dropped off Maddy at her dorm after we 'studied' and she had lunch, no I didn't eat that food sucked and I of course wasn't hungry, I had to get back to the unit to meet at a conference with a bunch of doctors to discuss my treatment plans at 3pm sharp.

I checked in and walked up to my room and saw Derek pacing the room and shaking. I mentally freaked out, I felt a anxiety attack coming, damn, I haven't had one of those since Monday, (today was Thursday) I knew he was having one too, so followed my instinct and dropped my bag and rushed over to him, grabbing his arms feeling his muscles.. what ? I didn't say that.. and he looked up at me, with his beautiful hazel eyes I don't know why I'm thinking this and I knew he didn't want to talk. I pulled him into a tight hug instead.

At first he stiffened, but then relaxed when I nuzzled my face into his neck. He smelt like aftershave, but I couldn't pinpoint the exact smell, it just smelt amazing, and I wanted to stay there forever.

   The hug ended a minute later when he pulled back, I noticed he wasn't shaking anymore, and he gave me a faint smile.

   "Thanks sweetie," he faintly smiled, his voice not above a whisper.

   I noticed his 'nickname' and decided he needed one too, "No problem you big baby, I knew you missed me," I snickered. He just rolled his eyes, and I swear I saw a little blush form on his cheeks.

   Did I start his anxiety?

This chapter has NOTHING to do with the hint I put in the last chapters authors note, OOPS

I swear the next chapter will have that hint: medical, incorporated a lot! I thought about making this extra long to include it but nah, I'll make another chap for you all tomorrow I promise, well not exactly cause I'll definitely post it at like one in the morning ahaha

But woah Derek and Rose!! if you can't tell by now, they definitely have some feelings for one another...  SLOW DOWN THOUGH ITS BARELY BEEN 24 HOURS (in the story) THAT THEY HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER

Woah this is already the 11th chapter?! Holy crap this might be a long story. I wanna get through AT LEAST the 3 weeks she in the unit.
