she could be Cleopatra
radiate irresistible aura
be the queen to rule an empire
conquer royals and their power
she could paint her piccolo
engrave her name next to Frida Kahlo
depict peace and pain on a canvas
tint the pavements all the way to Kansas
she could play piano like Clara
discover algorithm like Ada
stand tall in revolt like Boudica
have wings and fly high like Amelia
she could awaken her figment
write poetry like Aphra Behn
live solely on paper and pen
but he's just a man
driving a van
roaming the roads of Japan
he wants his woman
to stick with her pan
he just needs a friend,
not a fantasyland.
