under the velvet sky, that night
you and I were dancing
to the strawberry rain and swan song
tiptoeing over the coastline
filling our veins with rose petals
you taught me how to stardive
like a phoenix ash
orbiting a white dwarf
"I wish I could have you forever," you whispered
"yes, please," I answered
romantic, isn't it?
but I made hundred mistakes
and ten broken promises
I didn't know how to apologize
and beg you to stay
our stars aligned,
but I let them die
under the bare sky, tonight
I, alone, am dancing
to the teary rain and sad song
tiptoeing over the coastline
filling my veins with dead petals
I light my cigarette
until nostalgia buries me alive
and I'm lost in a series of déjà vu
"second chance, please?" I asked
"no, thanks," you answered
ironic, isn't it?
