CLOCKWORK ANGEL by Cassandra Clare

Genre: Historical Y.A romance and prequel to the mortal instrument books

I personally think that these books are galaxies better than the mortal instrument books (i.e: City of Bones, City of ETC). Don't lynch me quite yet if you have read those. You see, I'm currently obsessed with love triangles. I've been swept up by this movement, you already know this because I pretty much use love triangles in all of my stories, and I'm assuming you have too. Anyways, Clockwork Angel actually has a love triangle unlike the mortal instrument books. Plus, it's set in old time London, which I love. And I think it's just better overall. I fell in love with this book within the first few chapters. I literally fell over sobbing at some of the plot points. Seriously, it's an emotional mind fuck. And it's amazing.

The one thing I didn't like was that it was slow to start. The beginning was a bit boring but I haven't seen a book yet that grabs me from the very beginning so I guess I forgive this book.

I'll tell you, the second book devastated me but the third one makes up for it.

But it was a hellish wait. Lucky for you, all three books in the series are out now.

I give it an A in my gradebook.

Summary:

Tessa is kidnapped. Right off, she's taken from these weird women, sisters, who creep her out. Little does she know that they are aiming to give her to someone who wants her desperately but for all of the wrong reasons. Someone who will likely kill her if she cannot perform the task he has set. Besides that, the sisters bring out a strange power in Tessa that she never knew she had.

She was a freak, even among the other supernatural creatures.

But she was saved by an unlikely pair. Shadowhunters named Jem and Will.

They try to protect her against the man that wants to use her but he has a lethal weapon. Ultimately, she decides her fate. And of course, both men fight for her heart.

That's all folks. I hope I didn't have any relevant spoilers, sorry if I did.

I'll try to put up books reviews a little faster, okay? I haven't had this at a priority.

Anyway, I hope you read this book. I loved it.
