FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan

Just don't read it. It's awful. The writing is bad, the characters are not fully developed and the author leaves you with a cliffhanger at the end of the book. She doesn't even continue from the cliffhanger in the next book. She just makes a spin off and makes a series of it. You already know how much I hate spin offs. Anyway, I would not recommend this book under any circumstances. If you hate cliffhangers, don't read this book. If you hate spin offs, don't read this book. If you hate the lack of romance in a romance book, don't read it. If you hate poorly developed zombies, don't read it. Most importantly, if you hate bad writing, DON'T READ IT. That is my sincere warning. She gets a D- in my grade book. Not an F because I love zombies.

ZOMBIES+THE WORLD= HAPPY ME!

Anyone want to spend the zombie apocalypse with me? :)

Summery:

Ugh, you want a summery, don't you? *sigh*. I guess I'll give it to you even if it is an unpleasant experience. So there's this girl (forgot her name) and she lives in this kinda like town that's caged in. Literally. On the edge of the town there are thick chain fences. Know why? Because they're smack in the middle of the forest and the forest is infested with zombies. She lives her life, you know the petty boy problems. I'm going to skip to the not-so-sucky part. So, they have drills and things in case the zombies break through, right? They have them regularly so they all know what to do. So she's at home with her husband. At this point she's married, btw, and the alarm sounds for zombie emergency. Her and her husband get dressed in a hurry and they go outside to the huge platforms people get on to be out of the zombie's reach. They don't get there in time because the people are total a-holes. So they go through this passage way that they discover right in the nick of time with her brother, his pregnant wife, two little kids, her best friend and her husband which is the guy that our main character 'loves', and I think that's it. So they walk and walk and walk and face all these dangers and discover that they weren't the only little town left, that there were other places where people lived away from the zombies. They keep going, their numbers greatly reduced by unfortunate accidents. Everyone dies but her and she gets to the ocean, which the author makes a big deal about throughout the book. She makes a big deal about how the main character had only ever heard stories about the ocean and no one actually believed such a thing like an ocean could exist. So I guess it was a big deal. Anyway, she finally gets there and finds another town like place to live. That's where it ends. Literally three sentences telling you she found the ocean and that's it. Of course, there is more to the book but I didn't mention it because it would bore you to death. I really regret reading this book and wasting my time because it's just so boring. Anyway, I did skip a lot of it. I just gave you the important bits. I just saved you days of pointless reading. You're welcome. Honestly, the idea for the book was very very good. I think if anyone else had written it, it would have been awesome. I just don't think this author was right for it. It was a great idea wasted on a crappy author. It had so much potential...

Anyway, I really don't recommend it but it's your life. You will do as you will do. I'm not your momma.
