Chapter 10: Queen Kelsey

The plane finally landed in Russia, but now I needed a new dictionary. Russian sounded like a lot of mumbling to me, way too fast mumbling. Ally was smiling though, she was too excited for me. Although I saw something behind her smile. She was lonely. She was left behind from her parents, must be sad to be her right now.

"Elizabeth, are we going together, or are we separating to find the people we're looking for." Ally's head was titled, her eyes were bigger than before too, it was really sad actually.

"Um, Ally, we should go alone so I can find my friend and you can find your parents. But I think we can go together, if YOU'RE okay with that. Ally smiled again. She pulled my arm hard so I came forward with her.

"Come on, let's go, let's GO! I need to see my parents and prove to them I'm not too little to handle traveling! Then I need to get revenge on my sister, OH how about I take all her cookies?!" Ally was cute, but he talked forever. SHE IS JUST LIKE ME! We walked outside with her jumping around in happiness everywhere. "WHOA, look at all of this!" The scenery was amazing. I literally can't describe it.

I really wanted to jump around everywhere, but I didn't want people to think I'm weird in another country. Well, another continent really. So I just smiled and pointed. I also mumbled so people would think I'm speaking Russian, but they can't hear enough to know I"m speaking English. It was fun for people not to look at me and think, what is that girl saying? But just in case I bought another dictionary.

Downtown people were doing a performance. And who else to be on top of the stairs, but Kelsey? She was dresses in a white dress with silver ruffles going down the sides. Her hair was wrapped up into a bun tied with gold string. She was also wearing heels, Kelsey. The girl who when I first meet was wearing jeans and sneakers was wearing this. She was wearing leggings underneath though, good sign that it's still her. But not only with the dress and heels, she had makeup on! Weird, just, weird, for her at least.

"Hello, we need to speak, maybe take, your girl." They looked at me, so I pointed to her.

The guard spoke a little English. "You wish to speak with queen? NO, she stay in throne!" The guard went back to looking at nothing. Kelsey noticed us. She motioned us to come. Then her translator, I think, spoke to the guards. I have no idea what he said, but we were let to Kelsey.

"Hello Elizabeth. I am Catherine the Great. They just came to me and asked. I had no idea what they said so I nodded my head and here I am. I also danced with some man and pretended to speak Russian. Oh, sorry for not asking, who's your friend there? I don't usually look like this."

"Kelsey, this is Ally. Ally this is Kelsey, yes she doesn't look like this much. She's also a guardian as well." With that aid Kelsey made vines appear around her throne. Now it was personally decorated. Ally did the same look she did to me. "Anyway, um, Kelsey? Ally is now my little traveling partner. She's looking for her parents and sister." Kelsey already like Ally. She took the ribbon out of her hair and put it into Ally's making a ponytail. We were all smiling, except the guards.

They came over to us. One of the guards spoke English. "What is going on here?" Kelsey explained a story of how we were now her servants. Then I explained what's really happening "Ah, how about Puerto Rico? I mean you came here right?" I was a little scared. This happened in Paris too- I mean it worked, but I'm still skeptical about it.

The guard went on about the experience. He was like, come on! GO, GO. While I was thinking 'NO, NO!' This whole thing "experience" scared me out all together. Kelsey was looking at me, so was Ally. I did consider going until I realized Ally wanted to find her parents.

"Ally, do you know what you wanna do?" Ally looked at me shocked and a little scared. I mean I didn't wanna leave her, but the whole point of her being here is to prove she's okay with traveling. It was very confusing.

"Um, about that. I didn't really think ahead, I'm not ready to be in other countries on my own. Especially in other continents." Ally looked down, she was a little torn on what to do. I could tell. "I think I'll be okay here, just need to ind someone to help me."

"I'll do it!" The guard shouted. Ally smiled and walked closer to him. It was a little strange leaving her with a stranger. But if I didn't know about her, she would have been on her own anyway. It was all going by to fast. "OH, I almost forgot. Here's more money for the plane ticket. Take, it please you need it more than I do now." He handed me more money that I felt like counting.

Kelsey and I walked away both with an experience we would never forget, even in three years. The airport was still crowded when we got there. Kelsey changed into her old clothes and dumped the dress on the floor with a note saying:

"Please take, too puffy for me. Although you probably don't know what this says."

The plane ride seemed much more tense than it did with Ally. Mostly 'cause it was about my troubles. Then we tried to make it fun and talk about cupcakes and anything that came to mind. Soon it was much more relaxing it. Kelsey also knew a little Spanish so I thought we were going to be okay. We didn't know if Aurora was there or not, but it was going to be fun. I had someone fun with me.

We clinked plastic cups and I looked out. The world was so tiny, everything was like an ant colony. Small and smaller. I smiled my happy smile. Then I thought about Laszlo. If I would ever see him again and if I had to wait 3 years until I saw him again. Also where was he, the world is big. We're so small. He could be anywhere. Kelsey started talking again and my worry went away, for that moment. But I knew I would never stop worrying until I saw him again.
