Chapter 14: Two on One

I honestly have no idea what's going on at this point. My "friend" just returned from somewhere in the world. He doesn't want to talk about it, instead he's planning on attacking my ex-best friend. Also some girl I met on a plane just ran to me and ran away! But now I know that she meant that she found Laszlo. Wait how'd she know who he was? I have to ask these later.

Laszlo flew into the air and shot more arrows at Brooke, they all missed though. Brooke went down to normal size so our sword fight could be fair. We went at each other for so long. The coldness was making me dizzy and the sharp wind stung my eyes. The world wasn't very clear, luckily Laszlo was there. He started fighting her. And after her fighting me for so long she started to lose power.

"Ugh, forget this plan. This fight is now over, let's call it a draw." Brooke was a little frustrated with us. She turned back into the huge figure of shadow Vari and got her energy back. Now Laszlo and I needed a new plan. A bigger one, a better one. I wanted Laszlo to use the special trick he has.

"Now this is what I should have used before. You look like little ants down there. Up here, I am ultimate!" She started with the icicles again. Waves of water came out to catch us. And a blizzard, a huge blizzard, came out from the never-ending clouds. Laszlo and I ran, but it was so hard to see. The shied didn't help on the heart-stopping blizzard.

"Hey, Laszlo." He looked over at me. "I really think now would be a good time to use your trick. Or else this will be the end."

"Okay, I will. Oh, just saying I was in India. I'll explain later!" He ran toward all the weapons, he's crazy. "BROOKE!" Brooke looked down at him and everything just stopped. The entire blizzard just froze. Literally you could see the design of the snowflake.

"What do you want? I'm kinda in the middle of something here!"

"Well you know you turn into anything you want and whatever they have right?"

"Yeah! What did you think all of this is? Some sort of magic trick?"

"So, if you turn into Vari you have all of her weapons? But what if she didn't have all of her weapons?" Brooke's face froze like the entire blizzard did.

"What do you mean she doesn't have all her weapons? What did you take from her? Have you interfered in my transformation?!"

"Well, I do have this!" He pulled out Vari's staff. The staff is the most powerful thing that any guardian or supreme guardian could own. It could freeze the entire galaxy in one shake. Brooke only froze the world.

"Wait! Where'd you get that? A few seconds ago you said you were in India. Now you're just confusing me more?" I had to say it, I wonder if Brooke was wondering the same thing too.

"Let's just leave it at this. You're friend Ally, she really knows how to get around. I'll explain more later, right now I have a powerful thing to do." I smiled, then frowned a little. I idn't know what it meant when he said 'I'll explain later'. Is he really going to explain to me?

"Hey, put that thing down. You have no idea what it can do! Plus I know a few tricks about that thing so don't waste your time!"

"Wait a minute, you said that first sentence a little worried. Are you afraid that I will beat you?" After Laszlo said that Brooke got furious. Like he was challenging her power. I know he's a normal human, and so does she. And Brooke didn't like being compared to someone normal.

Brooke grabbed me out of the ground and was determined to not let me go. Her grip was tight, she was pretty much strangling me. I didn't want to cause any more problems so I didn't speak out. That and I could barely breath, why would I waste breath on talking? I was afraid if that Laszlo shot another arrow Brooke would block it with me.

"You put her down!"

"And my reason for that would beeee?" I had a feeling now Laszlo was going to use the staff, and he did.

The ground went through another earthquake. It was huge everything cracked and broke. Laszlo and Brooke both feel on their knees from the power. I had no idea what Laszlo had just done. I could hear a screeching sound coming from nowhere, but everywhere. Brooke loosened her grip on me, so I escaped. The blizzard also restarted. Everything was a big blur and the dizzy feeling came back.

I found Laszlo just as things started to calm down a little. I mean the screeching went away, but I had a huge headache. Small price to pay, I mean I was still alive. The ground was cold,but I didn't want to stand up, it was just too hard. Brooke and Laszlo were still on the ground too. Brooke was still the shadow Vari.

Brooke's eyes were closed, but we could hear her mumble. "No, the world is mine.... I want to be known....." And that's when Laszlo's eyes opened. He tried to get up, but layed back down. I was still sitting on the ice too. Then Brooke had opened one eye. She saw me, and her other eye opened. They were wide eyes, full of anger and hatred.

She got up and grabbed me again. Harder this time which I thought wasn't possible. Laszlo got up as she started to speak.

"You can't ruin my plan! You think you can win? Well think again, 'cause this will soon be my world! You, Laszlo, you will be my slave and work my every will. And you Elizabeth, sadly you won't be here to witness my greatness! My time starts now!"

Brooke threw me up in the air. The last things I remember is seeing one more arrow fly past my head and hearing Laszlo call my name. I was too weak to do anything at the moment. Everything went black, the world was just a shadow.
