Once we were done it was about 6 PM.

We all started walking home.

Dropping the boys off one by one.

Smalls, Benny and I live in a culdesac so we all go home at the same time.

Ham we dropped off last.

"I'll show you some more tomorrow okay?" Ham said to Smalls.

"And Y/n. I'm speechless," ham said.

I shrugged and smiled.

"Thanks Ham. Bye. See you at 8:00 tomorrow," I said.

We all waved as Ham left.

"So 8:00 tomorrow?" Smalls asked Benny and I.

We nodded.

Benny and I started walking away when Smalls shouted, "Benny wait!"

We turned around.

"Your glove!" Smalls said.

"Keep it man," Benny said.

"Thanks!" Smalls shouted.

I smiled as he ran off towards his house.

Benny grabbed my wrist and said quickly, "Wait here. I wanna talk to you."

Then he yelled, "Hold on Smalls."

Smalls stopped and turned around jogging to meet up with Benny.

"Um, bring a tshirt and jeans tomorrow, okay?" Benny asked.

"Oh, yeah," Smalls said softly.
Benny started walking back to me but stopped.

"Oh, um, you gotta fireplace?" Benny asked.

"Yeah, why?" Smalls asked curious.

Benny looked around and said softly, "Throw that hat in there man."

"Oh yeah. You know, it was the only one I had so-" Smalls started but Benny cut him off by pulling a hat out and saying, "Not anymore. Wear my old hat."

"8:00 tomorrow morning," Benny said.

Then started walking back to me.

"Thanks Benny. Great 8:00!" He said smiling and running back towards his house, "Bye Y/n!"

"Bye!" I shouted.

Benny smiled at the kid and walked back over to me.

"So. Umm. I wanted to finish what I was asking you earlier," he said, "So who don't you ever talk to anybody? In school you never talked to anyone."

I sighed, "Because I'm one of those people who can't make friends as easily as others. So I just stopped trying and don't talk to anyone."

He nodded sadly.

"I ask because lots of people said things about you. And every time I try to talk to you, you leave. Like the last day of school," he said.

"Well... There's a different story behind that situation but you helped me to start opening up more," I said, "that's why I became friends with Smalls. I got protective over him because he's my friend and I don't want to lose him as one. And... I..." I sighed, "I don't want to lose you either."

He smiled a little, "You won't. I promise."

Then he leaned over and kissed my cheek.
