Chapter 13

*POV Anna*

Jack brought me to the other side of North's Workshop. There was nobody there and everything was calm and quiet.

'Here I was when Sandy was killed. I think it's the perfect place to think.' Jack said.

I sat down on the windowsill and looked outside.

'Yes, it is.' I said when I looked at him again.

I motioned that he should sit next to me. He smiled and sat down.

*POV Jack*

'So, Jack...'

Anna hesitated.

'You can ask me anything.'

'Okay, what do you think of me?' she said quickly.

I looked surprised at her.

'Wha-what? What do you mean?'

She giggled.

'You know...'

'I don't know. That's why I asked it.' I said seriously.

'Well... Uhm... Just...' she stammered.

I had to laugh.

'I'm just joking!'

She gave me an angry look.

'So, what do you think of me?'

*POV North*

I was wondering where Anna was. And Jack was also gone. And when they are together, most of the time it was a quarrel. I walked through the Workshop. I saw the yetis working on the toys and I even saw Sophie trying to help them. She looked up, like all of the yetis, when I walked in. I smiled at her and walked further. Was Anna in the stable again? No, nobody was there. Suddenly I heard Jack talking. When I walked closer, I saw him sitting with Anna. Here he has been two years ago, when Sandy died. But he was happy now.

'I think you are a wonderful girl. You can surprise me and make me hating you, in one day! I still don't get it why you like the kangaroo, sorry Bunny, so much. But I guess that's your choice. And I think you're unique. You are the eldest believer, probably my only one now, and you will be a guardian.'

I was impressed by the speech of Jack. This was nothing he did every day.

*POV Anna*

I was a little touched by the speech Jack gave me. Before I now what I was doing, I gave him a hug. He was shocked and froze for a few seconds, but then hugged me back.

'Thanks.' I whispered.

'You're welcome.' he answered.
