Chapter 15

*POV Anna*

'Jamie, go home! Quick!'

'But you’ll get hurt!' he protested.

'Yes, and you too if you stay here. Now go!' I saw tears coming in Jamie's eyes. I never yelled at him, never. But this was an emergency! Before I could apologize, Jamie ran away. Well, I could do that later too. Now I focussed on Pitch.

'Why did you do that?'

*POV Jack*

I wanted to get back to the Pole, when I saw Jamie running down the street. When I came closer, I saw him crying. He never cried! Anna was nowhere around, so that meant there was a problem. I flew over the rooftops to search for Anna. Suddenly I saw her. She was talking to someone. I couldn't see who it was, because it was too dark. When I landed on the rooftop, I saw it was Pitch! I had to warn the others. Quickly I flew back to the Pole.

*POV Jamie*

Anna had never yelled at me. It really scared me. With tears in my eyes, I ran home. Suddenly I felt a cold gust of wind. I ignored it and ran further.

*POV Anna*

'I did what?' Pitch asked.

'You know what I mean! What did you do to Jamie? Why does he only believe in you?' In a second he stood right in front of me.

'I want to be believed in.' He did a step back.

'It's just a little trick I learned. Just hypnotise them and POOF, the only one they believe in is me. And they spread the word, so the only thing I have to do is wait till nobody believes in the guardians anymore.' I was shocked. This was bad. This was even worse than I thought! Pitch laughed evilly, which gave me the chills.

'Jamie is alone now, with nobody to protect him.' Pitch said. 'And with me and the Nightmares around, I don't think that is a good plan.' Then he was gone. I cursed and ran down the streets to find Jamie.
