Buddy Holly, The Monkees, Elvis, The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, & more.
Like, without him you wouldn't even have The Beatles. They named themselves after The Crickets.
And without The Beatles you wouldn't have The Monkees
Waylon Jennings and The Everly Brothers were highly influenced by Buddy, as were many singers from the 1950s-1980s who grew up with his music. He was one of the first singers ever who wrote his own music AND played his own instruments. You had Elvis, but—well, sorry dude, but you didn't even write your own songs.
Buddy's so underappreciated.
