Mercury's POV

Emerald and I took our sweet time making it back to the warehouse. The White Fang was busy unloading up boxes of Dust from a Bullhead as we made our way in. After scouring the area, we found Torchwick staring at a map that was taped to a container of Dust.

"Oh look, she sent the kids again," he turned around swinging his cane, face contorted into a grimace. As Emerald and I shared a look, he walked behind us and slung his arms around both of our necks. I resisted the urge to bite his hand out of spite. "This is turning out just like a divorce," he grumbled. "Ugh," I shuddered in disgust. "Spare us the thought of you procreating," Emerald replied in distaste. He turned away, staring at something in his fingers,"That was a joke. And this-" he waved the paper in his hand and gave us a glare,"-just might tell me where you two have been all day." I narrowed my eyes while Emerald gained a deer-in-the-headlights look, gasping out a "What?!" while looking in her pockets.

"I'm a professional sweetheart, pay attention. Maybe you'll learn something," Torchwick quipped. He took a look at what was written on the paper before his voice hardened and he fixed us with an angry stare,"Why do you have this address?" "Wouldn't you like to know," Emerald scoffed. Roman looked ready to shoot her with Melodic Cudgel,"Yeah, I would. Now where have you been all day?" "Cleaning up your problems," I stepped up close to Roman, pointing a finger at him,"One of them at least." "I had that under control," Roman gritted his teeth. "Two packed bags and a ticket out of Vale said otherwise," I snarked.

"Listen you little punk, if it were up to me, I would take you and your little street-rat friend here-" he swung his cane,"-and I would-" "Do what, Roman?" Cinder's voice drifted down to us, echoing around the warehouse. We looked up to see the half-Maiden stepping onto a platform, her glass heels clicking on the metal. Roman laughed nervously as she descended,"I'd uh....not kill them?" "Cinder!" Emerald cried out in excitement. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"I thought I made it clear that you were to eliminate the would-be runaway," Cinder strode towards Roman, completely ignoring Emerald who had rushed to meet her. "I was going to," Roman said through his teeth. "He was going to escape to Vacuo. Mercury and I decided to take it upon ourselves to kill the rat," Emerald said smugly. "I think he was some sort of cat actually," I randomly commented. "What, like a puma," Emerald grinned at me. "Yeah, there you go," I smirked and shrugged. "Quiet," Cinder hissed,"Did I not specifically instruct you two to keep your hands clean while in Vale?" Roman laughed at us from behind her and started making funny hand motions at us. Emerald looked dejected,"I just thought-" "Don't think," Cinder interrupted as Roman drew a finger across his throat with a comic expression,"Obey." My mouth pulled into a grimace. "Yes ma'am," Emerald looked down depressed,"It won't happen again."

"And you," she fixed a glare at Roman who laughed nervously again,"Why wasn't this job done sooner?" "Uhh......Eh?" he swung his cane to the right,"Ehhh?" He swept an arm and his cane to his left. "EHHHH?!" he raised his arms up. "Sorry if I've been a little busy stealing every speck of Dust in the kingdom!" he almost screeched in aggravation. "You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski-mask," I said flatly. Emerald snickered next to me.

"Look around kid, I've got this town running scared," he whipped his cane towards me,"Police camping out at every corner, Dust prices through the roof, and, we're sitting pretty in an old warehouse with more Dust crystals, vials, and rounds than we know what to do with."

Blanche's POV

I ducked out of my dorm room once everyone was asleep and headed off to the closest White Fang storage house in Vale's Residential District. I was running out of Dust again and I knew that the stolen Dust had to be lying around somewhere in Vale. Whoever had been stealing the Dust definitely needed a place to store it all, and the White Fang was the only organization big enough in the area who could store such a high volume. I was stealing from thieves, so it didn't bother me much.

I utilized my semblance and turned invisible, slipping through the warehouse door while White Fang members milled in and out. There wasn't much there, only maybe 10 boxes. Definitely not enough to be the main warehouse where the Dust was kept. I hid behind one of the boxes and used my sword to slowly wedge the box open. With the crate cracked open, I sheathed my sword and started rummaging around for the Ice Dust. I found them in the middle of the crate, and I quickly snapped an illusion in place to make everything look normal. Lifting the crate top off completely, I efficiently removed the other Dust from the crate, and then started shoving Dust vials into a small pouch strapped to my side. About 10 vials later, I piled everything back into the crate and placed the crate top back on. I turned invisible and dashed out of the warehouse, making sure my illusion disappeared as well.

Mercury's POV

"Speaking of which, if you guys wouldn't mind filling me in on your grand-master plan, it might actually make my next string of robberies go a little smoother," Roman snarled at Cinder, clenching a fist. "Oh Roman, have a little faith," Cinder's voice dripped with saccharine. Stroking Roman's cheek softly, she lowered her lashes at him,"You'll know what you need when you need to know it." Her golden stare penetrated Roman's until he looked away, growling in annoyance. "Besides, we're done with Dust." "O.......kay. Then what now?" "We're moving. Have the White Fang clear out this building. I'll send you details and coordinates tonight." Roman's eyes narrowed,"Coordinates?" "We're proceeding to Phase Two," Cinder smirked. Emerald and I followed after Cinder as she started walking away from Roman. I heard him rustle around in his pockets to pull out another one of his cigars; he always lit one after Cinder visited him.

A click sounded near me and I glanced behind me. Emerald had Roman's lighter in hand. She flicked it open, and stuck her tongue out at Roman, much to his annoyance, and then flicked it shut. We made it out of the warehouse before Cinder turned to me. "Mercury, since your apartment is in the Residential District, this is where we part ways. Your uniform from Haven is waiting on your doorstep, and I expect you to be on the first airship to the Commercial District tomorrow morning." I nodded and walked off, Emerald following Cinder back to their shared apartment in the Upper Class region of the Commercial District.
