chapter eight

We went a little farther away from the guys and sat down. It was so peaceful and felt so great.

She wrote my name in Hindi on the sand. Following her I wrote her name in Hangul. We smiled at each other.

After a few moments I asked her. "Who is your ideal type?" I was really curious to know. Someone's ideal type tells a lot about his/her personality.

"J-Hope from BTS!" she showed me her widest smile as she said it.

"Wae?"

"He would laugh to his heart's content. He wouldn't care about anything when he laughs. You could forget all your problems when you see him laugh. People like him are supposed to have a positive approach in life. And he enjoys his life to the fullest! Always full of hope for everyone!"

That was a great explanation on her part.

"Don't you want your boyfriend to be good looking or rich..? You know what I mean right? Girls want this kind of stuff..maybe" I asked her cautiously while studying her expression if she got my point or not.

"Its true that every girl wants a good looking boyfriend but I could compromise with looks than compromising with the character of the guy. I'm okay with acceptable looks ...maybe. And I'm not that pretty so I don't expect some good looking guy to fall head over heels for me." She was staring blankly at the sea and chuckled when she whispered the last part. Enough for me to hear.

"You are pretty cute."

For me..

She slowly turned her head to face me. I smiled reassuringly at her before .... Before...

Before I PECKED HER CHEEK. OMO! We both were equally surprised by my action.

"I...umm...I actually.."

"Gwenchana...." She smiled after recovering from the shock. "It's not like I get kissed by someone like you everyday"

Someone like me?

"Someone like me?"

"I mean an idol or a perfect guy like you." she explained.

There was an awkward silence between us. She was fidgeting with her fingers. I guess I should say something to remove this awkwardness.

"Do you like Taeil hyung?" Waoh! Way to go! Not this straightforward Mr. Lee. Not again. I think I already asked that.

To be honest I expected her to be a little bothered by that question but she wasn't. Didn't know that by just saying hyung's name she would be instantly comfortable and relaxed.

"Yes!" she blushed. I stiffened upon hearing that. Maybe they are a thing now. That's why they were so close to one another.

I didn't move. It didn't feel like moving. It really felt like someone stabbed my heart. I was internally screaming like hell.

"Are you okay?" she placed her hand on my shoulder. My throat went dry. I just nodded, unable to say anything.

"Well, I love Jaehyun too and maybe Doyoung too. Can't forget Yuta here....." she was in her own thoughts and I looked at her with widened eyes. She might have noticed my expression before explaining all of it.

"I love you guys but I'm not in love with any of you as such." she chuckled before completing it.

Phew! I took a deep breath and smiled. She nearly killed me, didn't she? ;)

"But I guess I'm in love with EXO's D.O. !" she made a heart with her hands. "He is such a gentleman. And has a style of his own. Maybe its just fangirling..I'm not sure about if its love or something else." I'm sure its just fangirling. I hope its just fangirling.

"Good luck with that!" I gave her a thumbs up and laughed. "Yah! Hajima!" she playfully hit my arm.

"Aah! It hurts!" I shouted dramatically. She again hit my arm. "Grow up!"

I never thought I could enjoy a girl's company like this.

"Can you do something for me?" she was hesitating and at the same time seemed serious.

"Try me.."

"Remember 'NCT on air when you guys debuted and your profile was being written?"

"Yeah a little bit..Wae?" I have no idea where she's going. Maybe she wants to know about my past. That scandal. That Scam.

"You....you made a face which only Heechul saw and he said that it wasn't appropriate for the viewers and he would gladly exchange his eyes for those who have not seen that face of yours. Can I see that face? I'm really curious." She was really anticipating it and was watching my every move.

So I made that face.
