Chapter forty

TAEYONG'S POV

"Why are we called?" Jaemin asked. We, all the SM artists, were called in a big auditorium. Everyone was worried. Maybe I know the reason.

"Everyone." Lee Soo Man-ssi attracted everyone's attention.

"This is to inform, not inform but remind you about the 'no relationship contract'. I know that many of you are dating. Some are dating the staff, while others are dating there friends, other idols and fangirls."

"Yes, I know everything. But I didn't say anything coz you were all being careful. But now..."

We all gasped. Shock was evident on their faces.

"So please respect the contract. I don't want my idols to be in the negative spotlight. Also who are dating other idols meet me in my room in an hour."

He was straightforward in his words. It was because of me. I hung my head low and followed the members to the dorms.

I was walking to my room when Johnny hyung stopped me.

"We need to talk."

Now all of us, except the Dream members, were in the living room. Taeil hyung avoided me. We sat in silence.

"If you guys have nothing to say, I'm leaving." I said. Johnny hyung gestured Taeil hyung to say something.

"Taeyong I-"

"What?" I coldly said.

"Let him speak first." Johnny hyung tried to calm me down.

"Mianhae Taeyong-ah. I didn't mean to kiss her." Liar.

"Liar. I know you like her." I spat.

"Its true that I liked her but I didn't want to kiss her knowning that you have feelings for her. It was a spur in the moment."

He continued.

"She didn't know about the kiss. She was asleep." I looked at him while he stared at the uninterested floor.

"I don't care." Thats all came out of me.

"Taeyong listen." Now it was Yuta.

"She kissed me thinking it was you. She was drunk. She mistook me to be you." He explained.

"What part of 'I don't care' you guys don't understand?!" I stood up and left for the practice.

I turned the volume to the max and danced as hard as I could. That moment it was just me and my dance. No hyung. No Meera.

Finally I was tired. I checked the time. Five hours have passed. On opening the doors of the dorms, I was embraced in a pair of skinny arms.

"Taehyung hyung~"

"When did you come back WinWin?" He is such a cutie. Instead he sat on the sofa with a pout.

"What happened?" I asked as I sat next to him. Others were there too.

"You all forgot my birthday. No one wished me. Everyone celebrated Yuta hyung's birthday." Aah..

"Mianhaeyo Winwin-ah." I playfully hugged him. A lot of things were going on Winwin. I wish I could tell you.

"I want to meet your girlfriend. Jaehyun told me about her." He showed his toothy smile while Jaehyun tried to hide behind the curtain. I glared at him.

"It was a prank Winwin." Yuta said and ruffled his hair.

That night I gathered all my guts and went to Taeil hyung and Yuta. The three of us stood in the balcony as they eagerly waited for me to break the silence.

"Lets forget. Everything." I stated.

"What do you mean? Forget what?" Yuta questioned.

I sighed. "Everything. That we ever met Meera. I don't want to be like this. In a cold war with you guys. Lets start afresh."

"But-"

"Please." They all nodded.

"But we're really sorry." Taeil hyung added. I smiled at them and we all hugged. I can't be angry at them for a long time. They are my brothers. Why did I ever let a girl come in between us?

After confronting them, everything went back to normal. We laughed together, practiced together.

I felt better. At ease.

MEERA'S POV

"Okay sir." I took the document from my boss and went back to the cubicle. I'm glad that Mallika's cubicle is next to mine.

"Should we go out for dinner?" Rohan, my co-worker asked. He also joined with us.

"Why not?" Mallika replied with her eyes on the cellphone screen. I'm happy for her. Ten and her are still in contact with each other.

After work we all went to a nearby local restaurant. We ordered our food and waited for a while.

"My sister is crazy!" Rohan switched off his phone.

"What happened?" Mallika and I asked.

"She is crazy over Kpop!! I mean how can you be crazy over some eyeless guys who wear eyeliners and lipsticks. And they wear leather pants!" He sounded so frustrated.

Mallika and I looked at each other. It's been two weeks since we returned. It's a relief that Kpop isn't popular to that extent in our country or we would have been doomed. Our pictures were on the internet for a while. Ten talked to Soo Man-ssi and now our pictures are deleted.

"Its a phase. She'll get over it." I said to Rohan as he chuckled.

We ate our food and went back home.

"Mumma!" I called for my mother and handed her the sweets that I bought.

"You bought your favourite." My brother, Mann whined. He is in his last year of college.

My mother opened the sweet box. As soon as she lifted the lid, the foul smell entered my nostrils. I covered my mouth and ran to the bathroom. After puking for a few minutes, I cleaned my mouth.

"I told you to not eat from unhygenic places!" She rubbed my back to soothe me.

"Okay okay."

Little did I know a big news was on its way.

The next day, on my way to work, I saw a pregnant lady with a heavy bag in a metro station. I helped her happily.

But it made me wonder one thing.

I quickly searched for a medical store and bought a small kit. On reaching the office, I dashed to the washroom.

Pregnancy test.

With trembling hands I took the test. It says two minutes. I closed my eyes shut and waited.

I opened my eyes slowly and looked at the test.

Positive.
