Chapter thirteen

MEERA'S POV

Don't worry I'll do it. She is heavy. Very heavy. You wont be able to pick her up. If that happens we would have to take care of you all night and who knows you might break some bones. I have done this before and I'm used to her being heavy weight. So don't worry about me.

Just a few hours ago he made me feel special at the beach and now he embarrassed me or rather insulted me in front of everyone. He is just a selfish jerk, nothing else!

Maybe I was just a time pass for him. It was all an act. If that's what they call fan service then I'm against it!

I couldn't hold back my tears. How can he say such a thing?

"Wait!" We turned back only to find Taeil running in our direction. I quickly wiped my tears.

BE STRONG. I'm not the kind of girl who would cry over this kind of a thing.

He reached us in a few moments.

"What happened? We didn't forget something, did we?" Mallika then started checking our bags to make sure we have our belongings.

"Aniyo. I just wanted to make sure that you got the taxi."

"You don't have to worry this much. We are fine." I tried to be as sweet as possible.

"There is nothing wrong if I help you guys. Right?" he is such a gentleman!

He then helped me walk. Because of what Taeyong said,  he doesn't want to carry me. It's not like I want him to do so but he did offer it back there. He spoiled everything.

I'm sure he noticed my tears stinted face. I could feel his eyes softening at this pitiful site.

"Don't mind Taeyong. I'm sure he didn't mean those things. He would never say such a thing to girl." But he did. Duh!

"Gwenchanheyo! You don't have to worry about it. I'm strong enough. It won't have any effect on me." I tried to be strong for Taeil's sake. He is so upset with whatever happened. It's not like it's his fault.

He helped us with the taxi and waved us goodbye. I looked back to see if was still there. I was right. He was. Why can't I feel for him what I felt for Taeyong earlier.

"Let's go to someplace nice and do something interesting." I tried to cheer up the atmosphere inside the taxi.

"Are you sure? We could just go back to the hotel and eat loads and loads of ice-cream." She winked at me. This girl.

"Yah! I'm not heartbroken or stuff like that."

"Okay..so where do you wanna go?"

"Someplace fun maybe?" I wasn't sure myself.

"I know a perfect place."

"Seriously? A karaoke?" Woah.. I have never been to a karaoke before. It's soo cool ^.^

"Thought you would love it. I know you for your own good." She never fails to amuse me.

"Let's start! Woohooo~~ " and the long night begins.

She started singing GOT7's Fly while I chose SNSD's I Got a Boy...

We sang. We danced. We were crazy. I almost forgot what happened at the beach. Almost. But it didn't hurt anymore. I felt so nice and free. Enjoying life to the fullest. Only if every moment of life could be like this.

We were arms in arms when we hailed a taxi to our hotel.

After opening up the door I slumped onto the bed. Tired and exhausted.

"Go and change or you'll have nightmares."

"Okey Dokey!" we quickly changed our clothes and stood in the balcony enjoying the view.

"I bought something for us." I just nodded and motioned her with my hand to go on.

"Tada..!!" if I were drinking something at that moment I surely would have had a fountain coming out of my mouth.

She had beers. BEERS!!

"I won't drink." I'm a responsible child and my parents trust me a lot. So that's a definite no.

"Why? We are away from home experiencing different kind of things here. No one will scold us. Also we don't even have to eat a bubblegum after this to cover it up."

"But still..what if we get drunk and do stupid stuff?"

"A sip wouldn't get you drunk. You almost had a heartbreak today. So lets celebrate for our life and special fangirl moments with NCT. Come on." By the time I could say something she had already open up two cans. I hesitantly took a sip.

It was bitter at once but in the end...still bitter.

I told her what happened with Taeyong when we were alone. I was expecting her to be shock but she just nodded.

"You are not dense, are you?" Mallika questioned me.

"Why? Did something happen?"

"Taeyong likes you."

"Don't joke around with this stuff."

"It's true. The way he looks at you..."

"Don't you think you are exaggerating?" I cut her off.

"The way he looks at you is the way you look at D.O." That's something serious.

"You are drunk no doubt."

"No! I'm not. Do you think he said those stuff to you because he wanted to embarrass you." I don't like her angry mode. It's scarier than my mom's.

"He just wanted to give you piggyback ride that's all. He was just jealous of Taeil being comfortable with you."

"Well he could have asked normally ..why insult me?" I tried to compose myself.

"And when you kissed Yuta..! He could have killed him with his death glares FYI!"

"It's nothing like that." I was completely annoyed at that moment. "Please can we sleep now?" I don't want to argue with her. Not here of all the places. The place we wished to visit together for more than three years.

"Okay. Sorry if I went a little overboard with that."

"I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to be rude."

We are not the type of friends who would hug each other every now and then. Well, actually she is not the type. I love hugs and I'm a huggable person! 

"But on a serious note. I do think he likes you."

"You are lucky I don't have a knife right now."

"So chingus forever?" I looked at her. She didn't say anything and dozed off.

Typical Mallika. I would have been more shocked if she would have replied.

All well that ends well.
