One year later
Mitch was fine and we are expecting another baby yeah it is quick but we had a little girl not long after Mitch got done with therapy. Lisa shot him In the shoulder messing up his movements so he had to go through physical therapy. At first he wasn't happy but his therapist was a beauty who helped him in more ways then one. She listened and talked to him about everything including losing someone you really love. See before she met Mitch her husband died. He was cheating on her and both him and his mistress died in a car wreck. We found her crying one day and she told us all her life story then apologized profusely about it. Mitch of course hugged her then got this light in his eyes that wasn't there for awhile. So both helped each other through heartaches.
Well back to us we had a little girl Abby Lee and she looked just like me. Now I'm pregnant again and Nick being Nick is extremely over protective. We don't argue or flip out about it but he knows I am careful. Lisa is never mentioned cause I can't stand to hear her name so she isn't mentioned ever. It is like she never existed and I never had a crazy sister. My parents were upset cause they lost their oldest but she acted like we weren't her family so I don't know why they are upset over it. Well enough about the depressing stuff cause today is a good day.
I find out today what we are having so that is exciting for us. After an hour Nick scoops me up bridal style and carries a giggling me to his car. After putting me in he buckles me up and kisses my lips. Shutting the door he runs to his side and repeats the actions. He drives off whistling as we head to the baby doctors office. After checking in we sit and talk softly to each other.
"Mrs. Memphis the doctor will see you now",a nurse says smiling at me. I nod and stand up. Nick joins and holds my hand as we go back to a room. I change into a gown cause she is also checking my cervix for dilation. Last pregnancy I dilated before I hit nine months. The doctor comes in wheeling the portable ultrasound machine and gets to it. I lift my gown up for him and she squirts the warm gel on and places the wand on my slightly bigger belly. We hear a fast whooshing sound and I tear up.
"wow that is so fast",Nick says kissing me.
"yeah it is, the doctor says sounding distracted, um guys I don't know how to tell you this",he said looking at us.
I looked at Nick as fear set in.
"what's wrong doc? tell me nothing is wrong with our baby",Nick growled.
"no guys I'm sorry I just see two babies instead of one. Congrats your having twins",he said chuckling at our shocked expressions.
"twins, I gasped out,we are having twins. Holy shit!!!",Nick yells making us jump. He starts hollering and fist pumping making me giggle and the doctor chuckle more.
"yes twins congrats you two now after these two Beth your body needs a break cause you had your kids pretty close together and it can hurt your body doing this so often and so close together. After the birth I suggest going on birth control for a couple years. We will talk after you have these two babies. Now I will try to see what your having", she said moving the wand around.
Beth still hasn't talked so I look up at her and she looks shocked still but happy.
I kiss her lips and she smiles at me and plays with my hair.
"twins Nick I can't believe we are having twins. What if you get annoyed and want out",she whispered to me. I chuckled and kiss her sweetly.
"never gonna happen baby your stuck with me forever so get rid of the idea that I will just walk out on you. Your my wife and I swear I won't ever leave you or our kids. We kiss till the doctor clears her throat.
"your having a boy and girl this time. Congrats you two. I need to check you cervix now do you want your husband to stay?",she asked washing her hands before grabbing gloves.
"I want him to stay I really hate these things", I say getting into the position for a cervical examine.
She does the examine and talks the whole time but I focus on Nick who keeps wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"looks like your two centimeters dilated you need to not work cause your cervix is dilating to fast. You can still have sex just nothing crazy. You can't lift heavy either cause your carrying twins now",she stated as she removed the light and patted my leg so I could sit up. After talking a bit more she left us so I could dress.
"twins baby we are having two babies this time. I love you so much B", he says kissing my lips. I'm still shock and haven't spoken yet. We are having two babies this pregnancy and I fear labor this time. Nick kisses my lips and hugs me after I get cleaned up and finally pull on my clothes.
"I love you baby and I'm thrilled I put two babies in there. Don't worry baby I'm not going anywhere your stuck with me for life. I can't wait to tell everyone dad is gonna be thrilled",he said kissing me.
"I'm just shocked two at once will be alot of work Nick. I'm scared of failing them",I said with a shaky voice.
"impossible baby your a wonderful mother and these two are gonna be lucky to have you as their mom. Come on let's go tell everyone",he said checking us out and taking my hand. After we are in our car I rubbed my belly and looked over at Nick.
He is right I got this because I got him the love of my life. We could do anything together. He kissed my hand and drove us home. Everyone was waiting to hear what we are having and I couldn't wait to see their faces over our news.
We got this. We could do anything as long as we had each other. No I could do anything as long as I had Nick. My best friend turned lover then husband.
