Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked to the Great Hall. Wherever they went, Harry was greeted with applause and cheers, as well as comments along the lines of "So proud of you, mate!" and "That was unbelievable!".
He sat down between Ron and Hermione, keeping his head down.
"Hey, Harry!" Ron elbowed Harry in the ribs, hard. "Can you hear Malfoy from here?"
"The whole school can probably hear him," Hermione shrugged.
Across the hall, Malfoy was very loudly joking with his cronies about Harry and Parvati. But soon enough Harry noticed that Malfoy kept glancing at him, as if he wanted Harry to listen.
Malfoy laughed and took on a mocking tone. "Oh, Potter! You're so beautiful! Let me smash faces with you!"
Crabbe and Goyle laughed as well.
Malfoy continued, "Oh, Potter thinks he's so great and all. 'He's so smart' and 'His hair is as soft as a rabbit's fur' and-" his voiced dropped and Harry could no longer hear what Malfoy and his friends were laughing about. Beside Harry, Ron was giggling uncontrollably.
Harry frowned. "Ron, is the whole school laughing about me behind my back so funny to you? I mean, sure, this isn't the first time but-"
"Harry, don't you get it?" Ron interrupted. "It's so obvious! Look how Draco's acting!"
Harry tilted his head, confused, causing Ron to go into another laughing fit. Harry wondered if someone had cast a laughing curse on him.

That afternoon, the trio was on their way to Hagrid's cottage when they noticed a gaggle of Slytherin girls hanging around in the courtyard.
"I wonder why they're all flocking together," Hermione wondered out loud.
As if to answer her question, Draco suddenly jumped down from the tree and leaned toward Harry. "You know, your fun with Parvati wasn't exactly private. My father will hear about this," he whispered, and strode back to the crowd of Slytherins.
