The Sky Under The Sea

(Your P.O.V)

I laid in my bed thinking about what I just did and I smiled and my heart was fluttering so much it hurt. But I liked it.
I got up and leaned against my closet I turned and walked into the door beside it, my bathroom, it was lovely.
I washed my face.
I saw all the cuts and bruises on my arms, there's a few pretty dark ones, a few were turning brown and green meaning they were starting to fade, but some purple marks remained. I sighed at my appearance.
What does Josh see? I thought, he could have anyone, what was so special about me, it must be out of sympathy. He will eventually grow tired of me like everyone else did.
I needed a walk. Mufasa was sitting at the end of my new bed watching me closely, I just smiled and pat his head.
I didn't even bother changing, I walked outside without shoes on, in my Pyjamas. I walked through the forest for a bit having no sense of direction I walked away from the long driveway and the beautiful house.
I finally found a tree that had some branches low enough for me to climb into.
I thought I could see the house through the trees, but it was really dark. I maybe was lost right now, but I didn't care. Josh can do so much better I thought. Why me? Tyler was probably just joking and Josh probably heard the whole thing. Just to get a laugh at a sad girl like me.
I climbed the tree and sat on a comfortable Y shape in the branches,  and looked at the leaves around me.
I leaned my back against the tree and secured myself, I soon dosed off.

(Josh's P.O.V)

I was woken up by Mufasa getting comfy on my bed.
"Why aren't you with Y/N huh?"
I jokingly asked the cat.
He sat up and stared at me. I copied him, I pet him and he meowed at me. He then got up and stood at my door and then meowed at me again, he then walked towards Y/N's room.
"Oh okay bye." I replied to his actions.
I need a drink, I thought to myself. I got up and looked at the clock. 1:25 AM. I poked my head in Y/N's room, she wasn't on her bed, and her bathroom was empty, I felt the panic start to increase.
I walked down the stairs into the kitchen to see that also empty. Same with the living room. That was when I lost my shit.
"Y/N?"
"Y/N!"
"Y/N!?"
I repeated, yelling her name.
No answer.
Oh fuck.
I grabbed my phone and started calling hers. 4 tries, nothing. 8 tries, nothing.
I was going to cry.
I ran outside and started yelling her name, I don't really have neighbours so I was losing it, I saw a few indents in the grass headed out to the forest, I followed them, they soon ended and I kept hollering. I looked around me and out of the corner of my eye I saw a figure slouching in a tree to my right. I saw long hair that had a blue reflection in the moonlight.
My heart caught itself.
I'd never run so fast.
I climbed up the tree and Y/N saw me and panicked, she flipped off her resting place and was going to fall, she caught herself and tried to pull her self up, but was struggling.
"Y/N it's me, Josh. I'm coming!"
She held on as tight as she could, there were no branches underneath for her to land on, it was at least a good 30 foot drop. I saw her hands start to slip
I raced up the tree and grabbed her waist, I put her legs around me and carried her down the tree and back to the house.

I set her down on her bed, she wouldn't show me her face. I sat I front of her bed and pushed her hair out of her face. I made her look at me.
"Y/N.. Why were you out there? I was so scared, I thought something happened to you. Do you sleepwalk?"
I asked her, and waited patiently for a reply.
She was shaking a little bit so I pulled her into a hug.
"Please tell me Y/N" I begged her.
A long silence lingered.
"You can do so much better Josh,
you shouldn't have to put up with me. You've bee so kind, letting me stay here, but you don't need to, you have a life. You sure as hell don't need to waste it on me." She confessed
"Y/N I want to spend time with you. I want you to stay here, I can't let you go back there. I know we haven't been around each other for very long but, I want you to stay here, I'm not doing this out of sympathy, Im doing it because I.. I think I love you
Y/N. I need you." I spoke clearly.
I looked back up at her she was crying, but smiling too. "I think I Love you too Josh... Like a lot." She sniffled
I pulled her into a long hug.
"Please stay with me." I said.
She nodded, hugging me back like she'd never get to do it again.

"Come lay with me." I told her.
she followed me to my room and I tucked her in. I got in beside her and saw her looking directly at me.
I inspected every bit of her face. I then pulled her into a deep kiss, full of passion. Her lips moved perfectly against mine, they were so soft.
She pulled away and smiled downwards.
She turned around to hide her blush. I pulled her closer, ridding the space between us. "Don't ever think you're less than perfect, okay? please come talk to me if you're ever feeling down. I've felt that way too, you're amazing and I've never been more happy, thank you for coming back into my life."
"I'm sorry I scared you Josh, and please come and talk to me if you need to either..I love you."
"I love you too."
And with that we both drifted into a peaceful sleep.
