The next day at school was really confusing for everyone, especially Hayley.
Where's Matt?
When she got to the first class that she had with Matt, he wasn't there. She texted him. No answer. She called him after class multiple times, still no answer. After school, she went to the hotel that he was staying at. No one was there.
What the hell is going on here?
She thought about how much Matt loved Melanie, so she texted her.
Hey Mel!
Hey Hayley! What's up?
Oh I was just wondering if you've seen or heard from Matt today, because he wasn't in school all day, and he's not answering any of my calls or text messages.
No, sorry, I haven't seen or heard anything from him all day. Try calling him again!

Hayley had a feeling that Melanie was lying, so she went to Melanie's house. Neither of her parents' cars were there, and neither was Matt's. She knew that her parents had work, so obviously Melanie used someone else's car. She just had to find out whose.
She went to Nicole's house right away because the girls had planned on it earlier. When she went up to Nicole's room, both Nicole and Megan were in shock, looking at their phones. Just then, Hayley got a text, also. Her eyes immediately widened and her jaw dropped.
I know it was you girls who got rid of my car and turned Brooke against me. I'm not afraid of you girls. If you want to fight me, come and get me, bitches.
