Lydia's POV
I sat in biology class, still thinking about Jordan. Then Chris walked in the classroom followed by Tyson and Dean. Dean was making fun of Tyson for something and Chris was oin his phone, it looked like he was texting someone.. probably Hannah I thought to myself.
I senses feelings rushing back, memories of Chris and I, all the feelings I felt before Hannah and all the feelings I have now.
Regret, hatred, forgiveness. Do I forgive him? He's one of my best friends, I can't hate him.
"Hey Lyd, what's up?" Asked Chris as he pulled up his chair behind us.
I still loved how he said my name "pretending to work while Tyra does everything" I smiled as I picked up my pink felt pen
Chris laughed "ooo is she done? I Wouldn't mind having a little work done on my paper" he grinned as he walked closer to us
Tyra glared "you just got here and you're already trying to steal my work" she laughed a bit "just wait until I'm done"
"Hey but I get it first" I said as I pointed a finger at Chris "don't you think of stealing it before me" I playfully added
"Or we could problem solve and put it in the middle of both of us" he snickered as he pulled a chair next to me
"Fine" I smiled
*****
I hated that class, too much over thinking and too much awkward time with Chris knowing he's not interested in me anymore. We have flex block next, basically just free time for a half hour
"I think I'm gonna come to your flex today, mine is way to quiet" Tyra said as she shoved her books in her locker
"Yeah sure" I said as I watched Jordan walk towards me
"Incoming" Tyra winked as she nudged my shoulder
"Knock it off, he's gonna see you doing that" I spat, still keeping my eyes on him
"Would you stop staring at him, you're gonna scare him" Tyra said before waving her hands in front of my face
I looked away and turned to Tyra and we made it look like we were having a casual conversation
Jordan walked over to me and playfully pushed me into the locker and smiled as he walked by
"You're being a bully Jordan" I yelled as he continued walking away
He turned around and shot me a smile
Tyra stood smiling "you guys are too cute"
"Oh you think pushing me into a locker is cute?" I jokingly added
"Um when he does it like that yeah"
I rolled my eyes and pushed her into the locker
"Hey stop" she wined
"What, you don't think it's cute?"
Tyra gave me the look and started shoving me towards class "We're going to be late"
******
The school day is over but Tyra and I still have basketball practice in a couple hours so instead of going home we just hung around the school with Nina until she leaves for work
"Does anyone have any food" Nina asked after finishing off her granola bar
"Nina you just ate" added Tyra with a little sass
"I know but I'm still hungry"
"You're never not hungry" I said as I dug through my bag and tossed her a banana
"Ugh I love you Lyd" Nina said practically drooling
"I know, I know. But we still hate you for not joining the basketball team" I glared
"I gotta work! I need to be able to drive to see Jeremy somehow" Nina explained
I could sense Tyra's eye roll. There's been rumors flying around that Jeremy isn't exactly faithful to Nina. And she's been told that, but she doesn't believe it when she hears it so she throws it to the side and forgets about it. So we've kinda just pushed him to the side. We still like her, but we'd rather not be around her some days
"Oh you guys! We have to go to the carnival tomorrow! It's the only day we don't have practice so we're going" Tyra insisted
"Sounds good to me" I added "are you free Nina?"
"Yeah I don't work!" She responded with a smile
"Yay!" Tyra squealed clapping her hands together
"Oh crap guys I have to go, I'm gonna be late for work" Nina explained as she scrambled up her things in a hurry and ran out the door "Bye!"
"See ya!" Tyra yelled after her
"Wanna go to the council room and watch a movie" I asked while zipping up by backpack
"Only if we can watch Hercules " Tyra stated with big eyes
"How are you not tired of that movie" I groaned making my way down the hallway
We walked into the room only to see Jordan and Raena already in the room chatting away
"Oh hey guys" I said to both of them and threw my things on the couch
Raena glanced over and threw me a big smile "Hey what's up"
"Just waiting for practice to start" Tyra said as she put her bowl of spaghetti in the microwave
I sat down in my usual chair but this time just as I sat down another body followed on top of me
"Jordan, what are you doing" I asked laughing and trying to push him off
"What am I doing? What are you doing?! This is my chair!" He yelled
"This wasn't your chair until you noticed I started sitting in it!" I yelled back
"LIES! I'm refusing to move so get used to it" Jordan fussed as he made himself comfortable"
I could see Tyra and Raena sitting at the table laughing to themselves
"You're such a child" I said to Jordan as he looked at me with his bright green eyes and smiled
"I just have to go to the bathroom" stated Tyra
"Yeah me too" added Raena as they both scurried out the door
Well that was weird I thought. Jordan was still looking at me, he's so adorable
"So are you going to the carnival at all while it's still in town" Jordan asked still keeping eye contact
"I don't know yet, I don't have practice tomorrow night so I was thinking about going then" I responded twirling my hair a little bit
"Well I mean if you want, you could uh, maybe tag along with me..? Jordan asked nervously
He's too cute to say no to, but what about Tyra and Nina I thought. I told them I'd tag along with them. They have each other, I'm sure they would understand.
"I'd love to" I smiled and probably blushed a little bit
"Perfect, want me to pick you up around 7:30?" He smiled
"Sounds perfect"
