Lydia's POV
Jordan and I sat in the food court pretty much devouring our food while we waiting for Brett to meet us back at the spot
"I hope Brett is super lonely and hates his life right now" Jordan said before taking a bite of his burger
I shook my head and laughed a bit "Why are you guys so hard on each other? Like I've never seen you have a civil conversation"
"I don't know actually, we used to be super close like we would do everything together. I remember going to the lake all the time with the whole family and we would just have a blast, but every since mom our relationship has changed" he said looking a little upset.
I took a small bite of one of my fries "I'm sorry, we don't have have to talk about it" I said grabbing his hand
He smiled at me me and shook his head "It's fine, I doesn't bother me"
There were a few minutes of silence as we ate our food "What was she like...?" I asked
"Mom? She was probably the nicest woman I knew, she could make anyone smile with her smile alone. She was just really kind hearted, she loved doing things for other people even if it meant more work for herself" Jordan explained smiling
"She sounds amazing, she'd be really proud of you" I said smiling back
"I'm ready losers" Brett said out of nowhere interrupting our conversation.
"Yeah I'm ready too" I said looking at Jordan who looked incredibly annoyed. "Jordan do not forget your suit" I said pointing to the bag on the ground.
"I knew it was there" he said turning around and picking it up.
I rolled my eyes at him and he smiled back the grabbed my hand. "Lets head out" he said to Brett and I.

The drive home was quiet other than the music playing. Jordan was driving and Brett was sitting in the back seat, probably playing some video game on his phone. I looked over at Jordan and gazed while he moved his lips to the song that was playing. The sun was shining perfectly on his face complimenting his features. He must have noticed me looking at him because he looked at me and shot me a small smile."You're inviting me to the grad cab?" I said to Jordan.
After the graduation ceremony, all the grads and the people they invited go to a hall somewhere and have a huge party with a dj and booze. But you have to have an invite from a grad student to get in.
"No way" he said sarcastically with a wink "Yes I am"
"Yay" I smiled "What about Tyra? Would you give her one?"
"Yeah I probably could" he said keeping his eyes on the road.
"You're the best" I said leaning over and kissing his cheek.
"What about me?" We heard Brett say from the back seat
"You want to go to cab? Jordan asked
"No, it sounds boring" Brett added back then went back to his phone
Jordan shook his head and then turned the radio up. I couldn't help but laugh at him
The rest of the drive was filled with Brett's complaining about wanting to get home and then Jordan's bickering back at him. Once we got home we dropped Brett off and then headed over to my house.
"What do you wanna do" I said jumping on the couch next to Jordan.
"I wanna take a nap" he said grabbing me and laying down with me in his arms "It's been an exhausting day of dealing with Brett"
