Was Mark really Bi? Well, I mean, he has no reason to lie about it... But why come out to me now? Why here? Why not then? I guess I know how hard it can be to admit something that big to a person...

"Jack? Say something..." Mark said from beside me. I must have blanked out again; it was seeming to become a regular thing.

"What do you want me to say?" I asked him, I didn't ask him out of anger, or surprise, just, pure curiosity... I didn't know what to say; I had no idea. I honestly wanted him to tell me what to say.

"I don't know, just anything would do... Just something to show me that you don't hate me because of what I just told you I guess."

Hate him?

"Why would I hate you for telling me something like this?" I asked back. I couldn't hate him for this, what was there to hate? Sure he had kept it hidden for a good few years; was that it? Was it the fact that he was Bi? I'm gay; why would him being Bi affect me in any way?

"I, maybe because I kept secrets, I made you hurt yourself... I forced Bob to give up your secrets to me."

It was true, he had made Bob tell him, but still, no hate. There was one thing on my mind though and I wasn't sure if it was the right time to ask or not, but, here I go.

"Mark?" I asked cautiously.

"Yeah?" He replied almost immediately.

I knew what I wanted to ask him, I had it planned out now.

"I-I ahh, well..."

"Jack?"

"We should get back to looking for that car..."

Dammit.

We exited the building onto the roof and took in a crisp breath of air. The sky was dark and the stars far from visible. When had it gotten dark?

"Umm, once we get the car," Mark began, "How are we going to get it out of here?"

I had a pretty good idea. I knew there was one final store we would need to get into before we left. There was a weapon store that I had stashed a few things in a short while ago, maybe a few months; It should all still be there.

"I have a plan, but for now..." I trailed off looking over at the large ten story drop between the building we were standing on and the roof not too far away. He seemed to get what I was gesturing too.

"What if we fall?" He asks, more to himself it seemed.

"Well..." I think for a moment, "We just don't wanna do that." I finish. He flashes me a look, a small smirk almost. I can see that he looks impressed; maybe by the person twenty-four months can create. I'm definitely different; I am nowhere near the person I was back then, and I hope I am never that person again.

"Okay, so you wanna back up, run as fast as you can and then launch yourself over the side." I instruct as he peaks at the ground below.

"Remind me why we can't just walk there..." He says turning his attention back to me.

"This is a lot faster; plus its night now, they're going to be everywhere." I remind him. Was he afraid of jumping?

He nods and swallows.

"Now, jumping isn't the hard part." I say.

He turns his head to pay closer attention.

"It's landing..."
