Mark and I sat quietly after that, neither of us had anything else to say I guess.

Now here we are, stuck on the side of the road until morning, because having the engine and lights going would draw to much attention. The nights were warmer now so a fire wasn't necessary anyway; plus we had nothing to cook, because we were out of everything. The only things we had now were the car, our weapons, a dwindling amount of ammo, and old tool kit and a camera. None of these items, although useful, will stop us from starving, were going to have to hunt.

Mark and I exited the car to rejoin the others; Mark lent against the vehicle whilst I pulled a bag from the back and searched threw it. I had a few things in this pack that I was able to throw in before I left the tree that I had been held up in for so long. I had a machette inherent from the town the day I lost Sheba. This would come in handy.

"What you go there, Jack?" Cry asked from a few feet away.

"Machette, I'm going hunting, we gotta eat." I responded simply, standing and examining the sharp, blood-smeared blade.

"I'm coming with you." Mark stated almost instantly.

"No, you just woke up, just rest a little while longer. I've got this."

Mark watched me for a moment before nodding his head and leaning back again.

"I can come, Jack. I used to hunt with my uncle." Cry offered.

I guess I could use the help, two people is better than one. Plus if something were to happenbout there we would be in numbers.

"Yeah alright, but if something happens and I become compromised, you leave me. Got it?" I instruct, getting a small concerned nod from the brown haired man.

"What could happen for him to need to leave you?" Mark asked, a worried tone crossing him, as his eyebrows furrowed and he crossed his arms.

"Anything, Mark. If we were caught up in a group of people or dead, or even a rabid animal like the one from the building earlier on before, I want him to stay alive."

"And what about you?"

I don't answer, even though I know he won't like it.

"Can this just wait until tomorrow? We've all been on the run for days, and we could all use a break from the travelling." Wade suggested.

I thought about this. I guess I havn't really stopped moving in a few weeks now; a nigh to stand still would be nice. Plus, I would ante for something to happen to Cry whilst we're out tonight.

"Yeah good point. Cry, we'll go in the morning." I nod and smile towards him.

Everyone sat in silence as the incidents from today flew through our thoughts. The feeling of finding something worth keeping, and then having it taken away from you in an instant is a harsh thing to cope with, especially in times like these.

"Cry! Stop poking me!" Wade called as Cry prodded his side and giggled to himself.

Cry was just a big kid really; he could definitely look after himself but he still acts as though he needed the guidence more than anyone. From what I can remember of him before, he was always shy and stabdoffish compared to the rest of us; but he did kick someone's ass once for whispering about the mask he used to wear.

The mask was a white porcelain plate like thing, tied around the back of his head with a piece of string, leaving his brown hair to flow from behind. There was always one small cluster of strands that stood above the mask. It was engraved with a black-inked poker face, something so simple but I remember liking it. I can't recall why he started wearing it though.

"Okay so I'm bored." Cry stated, leaning backwards and flicking Wade in the back of the head.

"Hey! Don't take it out on me."

"What are we supposed to do? Ply I spy?" Ken laughed.

The group chuckled for a moment before I spoke again.

"Never have I ever..." I began.

"Are you serious?" Mark laughed.

"Yes!" I called back, smiling for a second, feeling my old self shine through a little.

"Crashed someone else's car!" I finished.

Mark chuckled at me as I held my hand high proudly and looked at Wade with a smile plastered against my face. I watched as Mark's, Ken's  and Cry's hands also shot up.

"Who told you that?!" Wade laughed.

"I have no idea what your talking about." I replied innocently, earning another chuckle from Mark. "Now tell us one of your secrets Wadypoo!"

"Okay, umm, well, I was also the one who crashed Ken's mom's car." He laughed, earning a shocked look from the bear man himself.

"Hey! My brother got in a lot of trouble for that one!" Ken smiled.

"Jesus Wade! Who gave you a license?" Cry mocked.

After the laughter died down a little, Wade continued on with the little game we had engulfed ourselves in, blocking out the harsh realities that we would soon all have to face once again.

"Never have I ever wiped my friends computer!" Wade coped, slapping his knee and looking towards Ken, the rest of us raising our hands and laughing along with the goof.

"Hey! It was an accident!" Ken defended himself.

"Some friend you are." Mark teased, smiling and clapping a hand on his shoulder.

"Okay, my secret is... Umm... Ohh! Remember that time you yelled at Cry for eating your cereal Mark? That was me." He giggled, holding his stomach and eyeing Cry.

"I knew it was you!" Cry awed as he remembered back to that night.

"Never have I ever... Ahh... Worn a dress? I dunno..." Ken chuckled.

We all raised our hands, all except Cry.

"What?" I laughed looking at him confused.

"It was a dare!" He yelled back.

"Stop getting all defencive! You know you liked it." Mark sung, wiggling his eyebrows at him, and in the process, just him and the sound of his voice made my heart melt right from my rib cage and all over the ground.

Cry shot him an almighty stare, before letting his own secret slip.

"Okay, my secret... Mark's right... I did like it..." He said, burying his face in his hands.

We all began to laugh and gasp as Cry held his head in shame.

"It was suprisingly comfortable!" He shouted, making us laugh more, him joining us eventually and taking in deep breaths.

"Okay, never have I ever..." He began, looking around the group. He had a glint in his eyes as they rested on me, as if he was about to uncover something huge. "Kissed another guy!" He laughed, "I dunno, I couldn't think of anything else."

Mark and I looked at each other before glancing back towards the confused men before us, who were already holding their hands high, causing Mark and I, as if on cue, to throw ours up simultaneously.

God I hope they didn't get any ideas from that hesitation.

"Oh my GOD!" Wade and Ken called at the same time.

They got it... What have we done?

"What?!" I yelled back.

"Well, I can't say I was expecting them to keep themselves at bay much longer!" Wade laughed, tears filling his eyes from the force of his laugh.

"Yeah..." Ken chuckled between long deep breaths, "Should have seen that coming."

I saw Mark beside myself, turn a dark red, darker than the shirt he was currently wearing, but he was smiling to himself, stealing glances at me, as I did him.

This was going to be a long night...
