As the hours ticked by, a long while after the beans were eaten and everyone had a go at trying to beat me at pool, everyone was becoming a little restless being cooped up in a room all day.

"I never thought I would ever feel boredom again you know? But here I am, and that's what I'm feeling!" Cry stated, sprawled out on the couch, ken sitting on the arm as Dan and Phil sat perched on the arm chair, Dan sitting on Phil's lap, the blue eyed boy fiddling with the brown eyed boy's sleeve.

"I feel you," Ken sighed, throwing his head back against the couch back.

There was silence once again before a slight whispering could be heard from Dan and Phil, and then they both stood up and walked into their bedroom.

"Oh great, so now we get to sit here while they go and have some fun!" I laughed, Mark walking up beside me.

"We could have some fun to?"

"Guys! Is that really necessary??" Cry called, laughing as well.

The group had been doing a lot of that lately, laughing, it was nice. It really, really was.

Moments later, Dan was backing out of his bedroom, dragging something with a puffed out looking Phil pushing from the other end.

"What the hell is that?" Ken asked, craning his neck to get a better look.

No way...

"It's a stereo!" Phil called, a breathless kind of sound rushing from his mouth.

Mark moved forwards quickly from where he was standing behind me and looked the big old looking stereo over, probably trying to gage whether or not it still worked at all.

"And it works?"

"Of course it works, we didn't bring it out to look at."

"I would have, it a beauty!"

I smiled at Mark's enthusiasm for the old machine standing before us all now, Phil pulling a long cord towards a power outlet on the wall above the counters. He plugged it in, and the lights on the front came to life, a small melodic sound erupted from the bass speakers causing Dan to jump ever so slightly.

Phil moved back over and skimmed through a small booklet, looking for something.

"What are you looking for?"

"A song, if you're all so bored, this should cure it."

"Phil you are the best doctor I have ever met," I laughed out, moving forwards as well and leaning against the large machine waiting for the music to begin.

The sounds began to flow from the speakers, an old tune from back before everything went down pumping through the air.

"Won't this attract dead?" I called out loudly, trying to speak over the intense rhythm.

"No! This place is sound proof! No sound is getting in here!"

Phil quickly grabbed Dan's shoulders and began spinning around the room with him like they were both young and at a concert. Their bodies moving with the sounds as Cry began to dance around as well. He kept his dancing limited due to his injuries but gave it his best shot anyway. Ken also bounced around some. This was crazy. We were in the midst of a apocalypse and having a fucking disco in the middle of an underground safe house.

I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder, causing me to turn around and come face to face with a bright and giggly Mark.

"Care to dance love?"

"Of course handsome!"

We both laughed and began to sway and jump to the beat using the best of our abilities to do so.

"I never thought I'd be doing this again!" he called, spinning around on his feet, stretching his good arm out to balance himself.

"That makes two of us!"

The music then slowed down, the song changing and the tone mellowing, a soft tune flowing through the air.

"A slow song?" I asked, turning to Phil who just shrugged pulling a smiling Dan closer to him and dancing slowly.

"I can live with that if you can?" Mark spoke, holding his hand out to me, letting me breathe deeply before placing my own hand on his and letting him assume the slow dance position.

At first it was just the usual steps, until Mark unleashed his dancing skills on me.

We moved to the beat, and Mark spun me around, catching me and dancing softly again, moving in and out, around and around, letting the music take us away from the dusty underground bunker and into a ball room from a Disney movie, the chandelier sparkling and the other bodies moving, soft sounds engulfing us as we swayed.

Just as the song ended, Mark spun me around one last time, dipping me before giving me a cliché kiss under the glimmer of the chandelier, the music fading out to nothing before I opened my eyes again to the faint sound of clapping.

I looked up, watching as the boys all giggled and applauded our little display, Dan letting out a whistle as Phil and the other two shouted things like "Get IN!" or "Get a FUCKING room!" I laughed as did Mark before he pulled me back up.

"I didn't know you two could dance like that??" Cry spoke, giggling in a childish manner.

"We took classes once."

"Classes?"

"Yeah, we were younger then though. It was for school."

The six of us danced and laughed for the rest of the night before settling down once again to get some rest. All of us assuming the same positions as the night before, each now having our own designated place.

Mark pulled his shirt over his head, moving then to pulling off his jeans and looking over at me before sliding into the opposite side of the bed.

"Tonight was fun," he sighed, fiddling with my hair, pulling me into a loving kiss, happiness surging through me as he did.

"Yeah, it was."

He kissed me again, this time letting it get a little more heated, the feeling of him so closer pushing me somewhat over the edge, a sense of safety replacing the caution that often laced itself around my mind.

"Do you know what would make it better though?" I breathed out deeply, catching a little air before he dove back in to continue with our little heated session.

Mark pulled away after realising what I had said.

"You sure?"

I nodded, before kissing him again, a smile present on his lips, I could feel it, his happiness, and I would do anything to keep him happy. Tonight was going to be a long one.
