Chapter 7!

I can't help but run away from what I just saw.

He has real wings!

I run as fast as possible, into the woods on the other side of the cliff.

I feel as if he was following me, but when I look behind me, no one is there.

I climb a tree to get off the ground, and sit on the biggest branch I find.

I feel tears well up in my eyes, and I know I can't hold them in.

I don't know how long I cried for, but by the time I look up from the crook of my arm, it's dark.

I'm honestly surprised that Jay didn't follow me.

I climb down from the tree, and make my way to the road that goes through the forest.

When I see Jay standing there in front of his car, with his wings still extended, I can truly say, I'm terrified.

"Cassie," He starts, but I interrupt him.

"No! This is crazy! I'm dreaming, and this isn't real!" I scream at him.

In a second, Jay is in front of me, holding my face in his hands.

"Cassie! Look at me." He says softly.

I look up to meet his, again blue, eyes.

He wipes away a stray tear from my cheek.

"You're not dreaming. I'm sorry. You weren't ready for this. I'm so sorry. Please let me take you home."

I agree, then realize, his wings!

"But your wings! How will they fit in the car?!" I ask.

He pulls away and smiles at me.

He turns, snaps his fingers, and a second later, his wings disappear into his back.

"Better?" He says.

"Much." I reply.

We get in the car, and he drives me home.

When we get there, all the lights are off.

"Here! Come this way. Through the window." He says, pointing up at my window.

"But, its on the second floor! I can't even jump that high!" I whisper at him.

He looks hesitant for a moment, then asks,"You mind?"

I nod, knowing he means flying me up.

He let's his wings lose, and sighs.

He motions for me to get closer to him, and I do.

He wraps his arms securely around my waist.

I relax into his chest, and he shivers.

He beats his wings twice, before we lift off the ground.

In a few seconds, we are at my window.

He helps me into my room, and I reach out to him.

He comes closer, and I hug him tight.

He stays still for a moment, but hugs me back.

He puts his head in the crook of my neck and I feel him smile against my skin.

I smile too, before letting go.

"Thank you for telling me, Jay. Good night."

"Good night, my princess." He says before flying off.

I lay down on my bed, and fall into a peaceful dream about Jay.

Hey! This chapter is somewhat longer than the others!

So what do you think?

Seems like Jay has a crush on Cassie...
