Jay's P.O.V:

I drop Cassie off at her house, not wanting the night to be over.

Her mother is waiting outside for her, so I just let her get out without kissing her goodnight.

She seems like she has a lot on her mind already.

She gets out and smiles at me.

I feel as if something is wrong.

I drive away and park by the woods, waiting to see if she is Ok.

About a minute later, she comes running out of her house and into the woods about a foot away from me.

I watch her climb a tree and start crying.

It hurts me to see her like this.

I wait for her to fall asleep, then fly up and grab her.

She starts to move around and mumbles something.

I fly as soft and fast as I can, and slowly land in front of my house.

She is thankfully still sleeping.

I carefully walk up the stairs to the guest room.

My mother notices me and starts following me.

As I put Cassie down on the bed, my mother sends me a thought through mind link.

'Is that her?' She asks, staring at me as I close the door.

'Yes.' I say.

I motion for her to follow mW back downstairs, and she walks away from the door.

"Are you sure? I mean, the princess has been missing for ten years." She says quietly.

"I'm one hundred percent sure, mother." I say, wishing I could be close to her right now.

"I know that look. She's your mate, isn't she?" She asks, staring at me.

I look back at the door, and simply answer yes.

"And I will always be there for her."

Hey! Me again!

I know I'm really late on updating, but it's getting there!

No long note today. Lol.

One more thing! I'm going to start adding quotes at the beginning of the chapters!

If you have one you want up there, message me!
