I hated changing timetables. A whole new schedule to learn, to keep track of. I only had three periods of science a week now, only a few periods a week to get to know Thomas. Not including history, because he never talked to me then, he was always too busy talking to Lola.

Was it really worth it? Did I really have to lead this poor boy on just so I could claim his as another of my followers?

The answer was no. But of course that wouldn't stop me. Now I didn't see Thomas until after lunch, plenty of time to think through my confusing thoughts.

Ah, lunch. That's where it got interesting. I sat at a table with Ryan and a couple of his friends, and Pat and Steph. Far away from Evan. He wasn't speaking to either of us, and I had no intention of speaking to him ever again, so that suited me just fine. Ryan was the problem. Him, Evan and Jordan were always together, just like me Pat and Steph. They would probably work things out soon though, guys always seemed to be able to do that.

I noticed that Thomas sat at a table with Lola, much to my dismay, and a bunch of hipster kids, as well as the deaf girl I had apparently offended him by yelling at. Oh right, he wasn't talking to me again because of that.

I still felt bad, but I mean it wasn't my fault, I had been having a really rough day.

By the time I was seated in class, my palms were sweating. I had my uniform sleeves rolled up, school tie loosened. Right now I was silently cursing whoever designed this dumb uniform, with its dumb long-sleeved white shirts that made it really hard to hide sweat stains. I didn't mind the plaid skirts, because they were easily shortened, but the knee high socks and itchy jumpers sucked.

He was chatting with some guy in our class when he arrived, laughing and looking so carefree. His voice was so different to our regular drone, I felt like I could pick it out from a crowd immediately.

"Hey how are you?" I beamed at him as he walked towards me. His cute smile faded.

"What's it to you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. A couple of people looked over, surprised. I felt my cheeks heat up, why should I let him speak to me like that?

The period was tense, thankfully Mr. Thames felt it necessary for an independent project this time, unfortunately the seating arrangement would be staying the same.

Tabitha sat to my left, and a few times I caught her smirking at me, as if we were both in on a juicy secret. It was starting to annoy me.

It seemed like she wanted to say something, but she was too much of a suck up, she wouldn't risk getting told off.

When Mr Thames was finished, there was still a minute till the bell, and that's when Tabitha finally leaned in.

"I see you've been up to a lot this weekend, eh Milly?"

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Thomas look up from his phone, listening.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.

"Those poorly concealed love bites right there," she smirked again, pointing to my neck, where I had tried to cover up the small bruises Ryan had made.

She plowed on. "I heard Evan's with some other chick now, ain't that right? So have you moved on too?" She licked her lips, straining for gossip. Bad news really does travel fast.

Saved by the bell. Relief clutched at me as I hurried for the door. But a cool voice stopped me in my tracks as students filed past me.

"Who gave those to you?" A smooth English voice inquired.

"I don't kiss and tell.. Besides, Tommy, what's it to you?" I replied, leaving the room with my own smirk.

So he was interested, bingo.
