The rest of the day went by the same way it always does. Long and boring. I didn't see the new kid at all.
Donny glared at me, shoving me when he would pass me in the halls. I try not to let it get to me.
I finally made it to my last class of the day, which happens to be music. I love music so much. It's an escape, I don't know what I would do without it. This is the one class I don't have to hide who I am. Well, besides my arms, of course.
I walked in, quickly greeted by the teacher, before one of my music buddies, Niall, ran and grabbed me in a hug. I slightly winced as he squeezed me. "Niall, you're hurting me." I breathed out.
"Oh, sorry Em." He said putting me down gently. "I heard about earlier. How you stood up for that new kid." He said smiling at me.
I nodded. "Yeah. I was going to talk to him after that, but he vanished." I sighed.
Niall looked at the door then back to my eyes. "He's in a few of my classes, but he doesn't really talk."
"Did you find out what his name is?" I asked him.
Niall shook his head. "No. I asked him, but he just looked down."
Then our teacher spoke up from his office. "His name is Liam Payne. He'll be in this class with us." He said.
"Eavesdropping is rude!" Niall laughed out.
I laughed at him. "We aren't exactly being quiet, Niall." I said. "Maybe he will be comfortable in this class." I shrugged.
"Emilia!" I heard Harry yell as he entered the class.
"Harold!" I shouted as he ran to me. He just shot me a warning smile.
"Hey man." Harry said turning to Niall. "You going to practice tonight?" He asked.
The warning bell went off as students came piling into the class. I watched as Louis and Zayn entered the room, meeting up with Niall and Harry.
They took their usual seats with the other boys, and I went to sit in my own corner, away from the other girls. They always think they are better than I am, so I just stay away from them.
Just as the bell was about to signal the start of our final class, he entered the room.
Niall looked at me, and gave me a small smile, which I returned. I looked back at the guy, which we now know to be Liam.
He looked at the ground and looked up again, his eyes scanning the room. His eyes found mine, but they didn't stay there for long.
He made his way to the empty seat next to Niall and pointed to it. "Of course, mate. It's all yours." Niall said, giving him a small friendly smile as he sat down.
"Welcome, Mr. Liam Payne. We're glad to have you in our music class. My name is Mr. Smith, but please call me James." Mr. Smith said, walking into the room. "Now, would you like to tell us a little bit about yourself?" He asked.
Liam shook his head and looked down. "Alright. No problems there. We're used to people not saying much. Right Emilia?" He said chuckling.
"Yeah. Right Emilia?" Harry repeated him with a laugh.
I looked at him. "Oh. Like you were any better, Harold." I said chuckling.
The boys started laughing on that side of the room. Well, all besides Liam. He was still looking down.
"What's wrong with the new boy? Can't he speak?" One of the girls in front of me said.
Liam's head slowly turned in their direction. He could hear them clearly.
"I don't know. Maybe that thing on his neck is what shuts him up." Another girl said giggling.
Liam's head fell again.
"You can shut up now." I yelled at them. They all turned around, and Liam's eyes were now on me. "You guys are seriously so rude. Maybe he's shy. Maybe he doesn't want to say anything, because it's people like you that he doesn't want shooting him down." I glared at them. Everyone's eyes were now on me, but no one said a word. "You don't know him. I don't know him. No one knows his story. Besides, that spot on his neck, has more beauty than any of you fake girls have." I said standing up.
Harry, Louis, Zayn, and Niall were laughing now. "That was so funny! You're so amazing, Em!" Niall said, walking to give me a high-five.
I walked from my spot to the front. "James, I need a minute. Can I sit in the hall for a few?" I asked calmly.
I could tell he was hiding a laugh. "Of course, Ms. Styles. Take as long as you need." He said.
I turned around and my eyes locked with Liam's beautiful brown tear filled ones. He mouthed a 'thank you' as I walked passed him.
I went and sat down in the hall and leaned against the wall taking a deep breath. I didn't think I could actually stand up to those girls. Usually I let them say whatever. But I don't know what snapped in me when they talked about Liam like that. I just couldn't let it go. I wanted to destroy them right there.
I closed my eyes and took another deep breath. I already know what we are doing today in the class. I'm never behind in music. It's one of the only things I'm great at. Although, I think Liam may become a distractions. But that's okay with me. I just need to control my temper when people talk about him. I don't need to be kicked out.
I still want to know what came over me in there. It doesn't make any since to me. I'm supposed to be the quiet person in the class.
So even though no one really reads this story, I'm gonna continue it anyway. It gives me something to do. And maybe someone will read it. I don't know. If you're reading it, please vote, so I know my writing is worth it?
