"Dinner is ready!" Niall and I yelled as we finished taking the food off the stove.

"Thanks for helping me, Ni." I said, starting to leave the kitchen.

"Where you going? Aren't you going to eat with us?" He asked before I could leave.

I turned around. "No thanks. I'm not that hungry."

Niall frowned, "you said that last time I was here."

"Really, I'm fine. Just not hungry right now." I said about to turn around.

"Where are you going?" I heard my dad's voice ask loudly behind me.

I visibly flinched and turned around slowly. "Uh... I'm not that hungry." I said, my voice a bit shaky.

He nodded. "More for us boys then."

I heard Niall gasp a little behind me. "Yeah. Hope you like it. We worked hard on it." I said leaving the kitchen and walking up to my room.

I closed my door and sat on my bed, picking up my phone. I unlocked it and saw I had a new message. I clicked on my messages to read it. I smiled when I saw it was from Liam.

From Leeyum: "Hey are you busy right now?" Received twenty minutes ago.

To Leeyum: "I'm not now. Sorry, Niall and I were making dinner. What's up?"

I put my phone down and laid my head back against the wall. My phone buzzed five minutes later. I picked it up and read the message.

From Leeyum: "Well, I was wanting to know if you wanted to hang out at the park for a little bit. But if you don't want to that's alright too."

To Leeyum: "I'd love to actually. I'll meet you there in about ten minutes."

I smiled and slid off my bed. I slid my shoes on and put my phone in the pocket of my... Niall's hoodie. I pulled the door open quietly and tip-toed down the stairs. I peeked into the kitchen, the boys and dad were sitting around having a good time.

"I'm glad he loves them.." I thought to myself as I silently slipped out of the house.

I walked to the park and saw Liam sitting on a swing, looking at his feet. I walked up to him quietly. "Hey handsome, come here often?" I asked cheekily.

He looked up with a small grin. "Yes. Although, I've never seen someone so beautiful like you here before."

I silently thanked the night, because I was blushing for sure.

I sat on the swing next to his and absently swung for a few minutes until Liam spoke. "Thanks for coming to the park with me."

I smiled over at him. "My pleasure. I really needed out of the house too."

"Something wrong?" He asked, looking at me now.

I shrugged. "A lot of things, but nothing can really change that." I said quietly.

Liam gave me a sad smile. "Maybe I could help?" He asked suggestively.

I looked at the ground. "If you could get my dad to quit drinking, maybe." I said quietly. I didn't think he heard me.

I was wrong. Liam stood up and walked over to me. "Your dad drinks?" He asked. I only nodded, keeping my head down. "Mine too." He said quietly.

I looked up at him. "Really?" He nodded sadly. "Is it bad?"
