"I suppose we should start working on this song, huh?" I asked Liam when he sat next to me in music.

He chuckled softly, "yeah... We probably should." He stood back up and walked up to Mr. Smith.

Mr. Smith looked in my direction, but I just looked away. I caught Harry's eyes and sent him a look of sympathy as Taylor talked about anything but the duet.

"Ready?" Liam asked, walking back to me.

I looked at him in confusion. "Where are we going?" I asked, standing up.

He pointed to one of the practice rooms. "We need a piano." He smiled.

We walked to the room and sat down at the piano. "Alright." He said more to himself as he set his music on the stand. "Ready?"

He placed his hands over the keys when I nodded and began to play.

I took a deep breath and started the song.

"Your hand fits in mine, like it's made just for me."

I stopped and looked away.

Liam quit playing. "What's wrong? That was great." He said.

I shook my head and looked at the piano. "No it wasn't.. It was too shaky." I told him.

"Emillia... Look at me." He said. I didn't, I just couldn't. I feel too ashamed for messing up. "Hey." I felt his fingers under my chin, sending warmth through them, making me look up into his eyes. "It sounded great. Don't beat yourself up over it." He said reassuringly.

I took a deep breath. "Sorry... It's a habit."

Liam smiled and poked my nose playfully. "Well, it stops now. Your voice is amazing." He said. "Now. From the top now, shall we?"

I chuckled at him. "We shall." I agreed. He put his hands over the keys and started the song again. I cleared my throat and took another deep breath.

"Your hand fits in mine, like it's made just for me.

But bear this in mind, it was, meant to be.

And I'm joinin' up the dots, with the freckles on your cheeks,

and it all makes since to me."

I closed my eyes when Liam started singing.

"I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes, when you smile.

You've never loved, your stomach or your thighs.

The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine,

But I love them endlessly."

I reopened my eyes and looked at him He looked at me and smiled as we started singing the chorus together.

"I won't let these little things slip, out of my mouth.

But if I do, it's you.

Oh, it's you they add up to.

I'm in love with you.

And all these little things."

--

"You really sounded amazing, Liam." I said looking at him. He sounded more like angels, call me weird, but it's the truth.

A blush crept onto his face, and he turned his head to hide it. "Thanks, but I don't think so." He said finally looking at me.

I scooted over in the grass in front of the practice field to sit in front of him. "Liam," I looked him in the eyes, "you were amazing. You tell me not to be so hard on myself, but you're even harder on yourself than I am. I don't know what possessed that person at your old school to tell you that you shouldn't sing. You are so amazing." I said, making him blush again.
