*Liam's POV*
"Alright Liam, we'll see you later." My mum smiled, as she and dad left Emilia's house.
I gave a small wave. "Yeah. See you."
"Can I sit here?" I looked up to see Harry standing in front of me, pointing to the empty seat next to me.
"Uh... Yeah?" I waited for him to sit down. "What's up?"
"Liam..." He stopped.
I turned to face him completely, relieved to see a small smile on his face. "Yes?"
He turned his face to look at me in the eyes. "Thank you. Really... My sister has seemed so much happier since she met you."
"Oh, um..."
"I mean it, Liam... Thank you." Harry said. "Just, please. Don't hurt her." With that, Harry stood up and walked out of the room.
I sat frozen on the couch. Why would I hurt Emilia? I would never hurt her. Not on purpose anyway.
"Hey." Emilia's voice sang as she walked in and sat next to me.
"Would you like to watch a movie?" Niall asked, walking in seconds later.
"He never leaves?" I chuckle to Emilia.
Niall let out a laugh as Harry walked in. "Did you text Zayn?" Niall asked when he quit laughing.
Harry nodded. "He was at Louis', so they will be here soon. Any of you need anything before I sit down?" He asked looking at each of us.
"Haz?" Emilia spoke up after a few seconds. "Can you get me a glass of water?"
"Niall? Liam? Anything?" He asked walking out towards the kitchen.
There was a knock on the door as Niall sat on the couch. "Water!" He yelled, standing up again.
The door opened seconds later, "do you ever leave?" Louis' voice rang down the hall.
Emilia chuckled at them, but closed her eyes. "Are you tired?" I asked softly. I reached up and moved some hair from her face.
She let out a small sigh, leaning into my touch. "Just a bit." She said quietly.
I watched her as her eyes stayed closed. I gently stroked her cheek with my thumb. "Zayn, grab that cup for me." I heard Harry say.
I retrieved my hand as Emilia's eyes opened. The other boys entered the room split seconds later. "Here you go." Harry smiled, handing Em and I a cup of water.
We both said a 'thanks' as Zayn and Louis walked in behind Niall.
"Scoot." Zayn said to Emilia.
I chuckled as she shifted on her bum, further into the couch. "Nah. I'm pretty comfortable." She grinned.
"Harry? Mind holding my dri-"
"No! I'll move!" Emilia said quickly.
She held her drink up for him to take. She lifted herself up and moved closer to me.
The boys laughed as Zayn sat next to her as the movie started.
--
I payed attention for the most part. Glancing at the horrified expression on Emilia's face as the movie progressed. "Are you okay?" I whispered.
Her eyes seemed to glisten from the light of the TV when she looked at me. "How could I be okay? That dog just got killed!" She said.
I heard Niall laugh and look over at us. "Really Em?? You're worried about the dog? Have you not seen all the innocent people that have been ki-"
"No! Come on!" Harry yelled.
Louis stood up, "how could that guy kill Catherine? I thought he loved her!" He shouted. "I'm done! I hate that guy!"
Niall grabbed the back of his shirt and tugged him back down to the couch.
"Is it always like this?" I wonder.
Emilia chuckles "Always. Wouldn't be the same if it wasn't."
I checked my phone as the movie ended with the guy getting away, obviously setting up for a second movie.
"Zayn? You ready to go?" Louis asked. "My mum is getting ready to leave, and I've got to watch my sisters."
"Yeah. I'll just help. I'm not ready to deal with mine just yet." Zayn laughed and stood from his spot.
He stretched out before turning towards the door. "See you guys tomorrow." He said.
Louis walked around giving everyone a hug before leaving with Zayn.
"Another movie?" Niall asked as the front door closed.
Harry agreed and leaned against the arm of the couch. "Hey." I said quietly so only Emilia could hear me.
"You want to go for a walk?" She asked with a smile.
Hmm... I could either sit here and watch a movie, our go for a walk and hang out with Emilia.
"Sure." I smile.
She stood up, "we are going for a walk. Enjoy your lame movie." She laughed.
I stood up and gave them a small wave before leaving the house.
"I seriously can't get over that he killed that poor dog." Emilia said as we walked towards our park.
Our park? No one goes there besides us really.
I glanced over at her, she looks so beautiful in the moonlight, daylight... Any kind if light actually.
"You know, I understand why he killed that lady-"
"He killed lots of ladies." I remind her.
"Right." She pauses. "But who gave him the right to shoot that poor dog?" She asked.
"Uh. The gun in his hand? Maybe?" I suggested.
She turned to look at me. "So? The dog wasn't doing anything wrong."
I couldn't help but laugh at her seriousness "Em. It was just a movie."
"Still doesn't make it right." She huffed and crossed her arms as we walked.
I chuckled as she fought back a smile tugging at her lips.
"I'm actually happy my dad is leaving... With good in tensions, of course." I say when we reach the familiar swings.
Emilia sat in the swing and swayed in small circles. "Mine too. I hope he actually goes through with it." She says, looking off at something distant.
"I think he will, Em." I said.
I waited for her swing to circle closer before grabbing her arm to stop her.
I let go quickly when she let out a hiss. "Are you okay?" I asked quickly.
"Uh, y-yeah." She stuttered quietly.
I watched as she rubbed at her arm where I grabbed her. "Em..." She turned to look at me. "What's wrong?"
"I-it's nothing." She said quietly.
I stood up from my spot and walked closer to her. I frowned when she turned away from me. "Emilia? Please don't turn away." I asked, reaching out to her.
"Liam... Please." She spoke quietly, turning away from my touch.
I brought my hand back to my side. "I'm sorry... Uh, d-do you want me to go?" I asked, silently praying she wanted me to stay.
She shook her head, but still didn't look at me. "Stay... Please."
I silently let out a sigh of relief. "Emilia?" I took a small step closer to her. "Please look at me."
