Chapter Ten: Death Spiral Smackdown

Mission Creek High...

Third POV:

"Prepare yourself, dingoes! It's time for my annual fitness challenge week!" Adam and Leo glance at each other before looking back at Principal Perry, "This year, forget about push-ups and sit-ups. It's time for bruises, sprains, and freak accidents!" Principal Perry takes out a remote, "I present the Death Spiral Smackdown!" She presses a button on the remote and a sheet lifts into the air, revealing The Death Spiral Smackdown.

Everyone looks at The Death Spiral in awe. Principal Perry grins and Adam turns to Leo, "Well, say what you will about her, but she knows how to bring the sizzle."

Principal Perry walks onto The Death Spiral and Leo asks Perry, "Why do you call it the Death Spiral? I mean... Doesn't look so scary to me." Leo shrugs.

"Why don't I have Vice Principal Cochran demonstrate for you?" Principal Perry grabs Vice Principal Cochran by the shirt and pulls him onto The Death Spiral. Principal Perry presses another button on her remote and the Death Spiral starts to spin with Vice Principal Cochran in the middle of it. Vice Principal Cochran slips and falls onto his back while still spinning. Principal Perry laughs, watching him spin. Vice Principal Cochran tries to crawl away but the Death Spiral spins even faster, eventually making The Vice Principal get thrown into some chairs. Everyone winces as they see him land with a broken leg. Principal Perry yells at him, "It's not broken! Walk it off!"

Adam walks over to Principal Perry, "Wait, s-so how does it work?"

Perry answers, "You wrestle your opponent as it spins you silly. It'll test your strength, reflexes, and ability to hold your bladder against centrifugal force! Ha ha ha!" She laughs.

Gordo, who has a green cape hanging on his back, walks over to Leo, "What do you think, Leo? Can you handle it?"

Leo answers, "Well, my bladder's strong, but just to be safe, I'm sticking to dark gym shorts."

"I myself will be wearing a full-body diaper. In the face of fear, you'll never know where you're gonna leak from." Gordo nods. Leo looks at Gordo with disgust.

"If you have the guts, partner up, and choose carefully. Your survival depends on the decision you make, and there are... very.. few.. good.. options! Ha ha ha ha ha!!" Principal Perry laughs again.

"Well, Leo, every year we lose the fitness challenge, but this year, we're gonna do it in style. I don't want to brag, but..." Gordo flips a green cape in his hands, straightening it out, "I totally earned the Sewing Merit badge." Gordo gives the cape to Leo.

"Listen, Gordo, I don't want to have a cape. I want to be a winner, so this year, we're going in a different direction." Leo grins.

"We are?" Gordo asks.

"Yes. But by 'we,' I mean not you." Leo holds the cape out to Gordo. Gordo takes it and Leo finishes, "I'm going with someone else."

"Oh. I see. That's okay because most of the school would give their right hand to be my partner." Gordo turns to some guys who just look at him and walk away.

"I'm sorry, Gordo, but with my new partner, I'm gonna win this thing." Leo states confidently.

Principal Perry, who is a short distance away from them, chuckles, "You're gonna try this again? Last year you threw your back out picking your wedgie! Ha ha ha!" She laughs before walking away.

Leo follows Principal Perry who is now standing by Adam, "Well, this year's gonna be different because I have a secret weapon." Leo puts a hand on Adam's shoulder.
