Mission Creek High....

Third POV:

Leo stands in the elevator listening and dancing to the music. Principal Perry turns around and sees him, "Dooley!" Leo freezes and she continues, "What are you doing in my elevator?!"

"I'm enjoying the music." Leo grins, "Today is 'love songs from the nineties.' Wanna dance?"

"Use the stairs!" She tells him. Leo walks out of the elevator. "This is exactly how healthy kids become unhealthy adults."

"Really?" Leo looks her up and down, "Are we having this conversation?"

"For your information, I'm a speed walker. Perhaps you've seen me at the Mission Creek Mall" Principal Perry grins, "giving the shoppers a little eye candy." She walks away and Leo gags.

Janet's POV:

I'm standing with Adam, Bree, and Chase when I hear Principal Perry announce, "Listen up, space-fillers! This is Emergency Preparedness Week. An emergency drill can happen at any time. So when the alarm sounds, you must evacuate the building in an orderly fashion-- Like cattle, if cattle had acne... and braces... and a future filling up my gas tank." She laughs, walking away.

"Oh, man!" Adam complains, "I wish I had Bree's super-speed! Because you do not want to be stuck walking behind cows in an emergency, trust me on that."

Chase looks at Adam incredulous, "You would trade your super-strength for Bree's super-speed? Man, if I had your strength, I'd just run out of the building juggling those cows."

"Yeah," Bree looks at Chase, "and if I had your super-intelligence, I'd have walked away from this conversation thirty seconds ago." I chuckle.

"Hey, you know what would be awesome?" Leo grins, "If you guys took out your bionic chips and switched your abilities."

"Why can't we?" Chase asks.

"I call your super-smarts!" Bree points at Chase.

Adam points at Bree, "I call your super-speed!"

"I call your super-strength!" Chase points at Adam.

I raise my hand, "I call Leo's best friend." I pause, "Oh, well, would you look at that."

"I call good looks and charisma." Leo raises his hand, "Oh, too late. Already got 'em." Leo walks away.

In the lab.....

Leo turns around, "If you guys are gonna switch your chips before school, don't you think you should run this by Davenport first?"

Bree shrugs, "They're our chips."

"Well, yeah, but what if something glitches out and you end up with Adam's gigantic head on Chase's tiny, doll-like body?" Leo questions.

I answer, "Then it's on you because it was your idea." I lean in closer to Chase, who is right beside me, whispering, "Never trust a Dooley idea."

"I heard that!" Leo glares. I send him an innocent smile.

"Leo, we don't have to ask 'daddy' for permission on every single thing we do." Bree tells Leo, bringing everyone back on subject.

"Yeah. I mean, do you think I ask Davenport which shoe goes on which foot? No! I label them 'left'" Adam puts his left foot on the controls, "and 'not left.'" Adam puts his right foot on the controls as well. We see his left foot with a paper underneath that says 'left'. And his right foot has a paper underneath that says 'left', but the word 'left' is crossed out.
