Ch.5 The plank

Wendy stood there with shock as she faced Hook.

"You got a lot of fruits there" he said "What are you playing to make with them, pies?"

"Just stay away from me" Wendy said with a scared look as she backed away.

But when she did, she bumped into someone big, she turned around and was shocked to see Hook's crew behind her as she dropped the fruits.

Meanwhile, up in the sky, Peter flew around the forest while calling Wendy's name.

"Wendy!" he called, but no answer "Wendy!"

"Peter!" he suddenly heard a voice call, he recognized it as Alice's.

He flew around until he spotted Alice as he flew down and landed next to her.

"Hey" he said.

"You looking for Wendy?" she asked.

"Yeah where is she?"

"She went down the hill to gather some fruits that fell out of her basket, although it's kinda strange how she hasn't come back."

"Maybe she needs help carrying the fruits."

"If she did she would of called me."

Wondering what had happened, Peter and Alice went down the hill to the bottom where they saw the fruits on the ground, but there was no sign of Wendy.

"Wendy!" Alice called, no answer.

"Wendy!" Peter called, but still no answer.

"I don't understand" Alice said "How could she of disappeared like that?"

Peter then looked down and saw something that caught his eye, a golden pin with a skull on it. He picked it up and examined it.

"What is that?" Alice asked.

"A pin" he said "Now I've seen this pin before, it was on..."

At that point his eyes widen "Hook."

"What?" Alice gasped.

Peter's jaw dropped as he realized what had happened.

"Hook has Wendy" he said with shock.

"So that's why I smelled cigars earlier!" Alice gasped "I thought it was just someone building a fire."

"This isn't good" Peter said with a worried look "Why did this have to happen right before I could tell her?!"

"Tell her what?"

"Uh..." he said as he tried to hide his nervousness "Nothing."

"Peter..." Alice said with a wondering look "What were you planning on telling her?"

"It's nothing okay?"

But at that point his cheeks started to turn red.

"Peter your cheeks are turning red" she said "And I know that when that happens, you're hiding something, I've known that since we met, now what were you planning on telling Wendy?"

Peter gave a sigh, knowing that he couldn't hide it anymore.

"I was going to tell her my true feelings for her" he confessed "Alice, I am so in love in Wendy, and I actually want to grow up so I can marry her."

Alice's eyes widen as her jaw dropped.

"Are you serious?" she gasped.

"I know it's shocking for me to say that I want to grow up, but I really do love Wendy, and I would do anything to be with her, even if it means I have to grow up."

"Oh my God" she gasped "This is incredible!"

"I know! And that's why we gotta get her back."

"Well what are we waiting for?! Let's go!"

But aboard Hook's ship, Hook looked into the sky as Wendy sat on a barrel near him with her arms crossed.

"You're just not gonna give up are you?" she asked with a frown.

"Of course not" he said "I'm not giving up until I get what I want."

"You do realize you'll never win? Cause Peter never fails."

"Well that might change, cause I know his weakness, you."

Wendy gave him a mad look.

"So let's just see how Pan does in order to keep you alive" he smirked.

At that point Wendy started to get worried, she knew she was being used as bait to lure Peter here, and even though he never failed, she had a bad feeling about this one.

But up in the clouds, Peter and Alice looked down at the ship as Peter looked through his telescope.

"I see Wendy" he said.

"How is she?" Alice asked.

"Well she's right next to Hook so she can't escape, and she looks really worried."

"So you got a plan?"

"Obviously, and I'm gonna need your help."

He then took of his satchel and handed it to her.

"You're gonna need this" he said as Alice opened the satchel and looked inside.

She then turned to him with a smirk "How clever."

Still on the ship, Wendy tried to look for a way to escape, but with the pirates around and Hook next to her, it seemed impossible.

"Tell me Wendy" Hook suddenly said as he put his hook around her and led her to the other side of the ship and pointed to a plank "Do you remember this?"

"How could I forget?" she said "You made me go on it."

"True, but Pan saved you. But this time, he wont, no one will. And to make it more interesting, why don't I add this on you?"

He held up a small weight ball, Wendy tried to hide her scared look by avoiding his face. All of a sudden, a ticking was heard, Hook's eyes widen when he realized what it was, the crocodile. He looked over the ship and saw a shadow of the giant croc swimming under the water.

"It's here!" he gasped with shock as the pirates looked over the ship.

Wendy then gave a small laugh as Hook turned to her.

"Oh you think that's funny?" he asked with a mad look as he gripped her arm "Well let's see how funny it is when you walk the plank!"

And with that he threw her onto the edge of the plank as she balanced herself from falling. But Hook that started to stomp on the plan causing her to wobble.

"I've had enough of this" he growled "Any last words?"

"Uh..." she said nervously as she balanced herself.

"That's what I thought" he scowled as he stomped on the plank again, this time it caused Wendy to finally fall off the plank.

But expecting to hear a splash, Hook didn't hear anything, he looked down and saw nothing, not even a ripple in the water. But then a thought came to him.

"Well" he said out loud "Good job Peter, you saved your lady, now where are you?"

But below the ship, Peter who had Wendy in his arms looked up and saw Hook looking for him. He then turned to Wendy who smiled at him as he smiled back. And with that they flew up and into the sails.
