Baekhyun was lying on his bed, wide awake. The mattress was rather lumpy and uncomfortable, but no, that wasn't the reason why he couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned around it, desperately trying to find a comfy spot.
It was no use; he still couldn't sleep. Not with all those stressful thoughts troubling his mind and entire being. He could remember the recent events vividly, it played over and over his head. Just like a broken record.
He was restless. Guilt was eating him up; a part of him wanted to tell Chanyeol but another part of him wanted to just hide.
This went on for about a few more hours, he'd toss and turn, toss and turn, sighing and kicking the sheets off. A very difficult routine which continued on.
He shut his eyes tighter, trying to recollect his thoughts until he'd finally reached a decision.
"I'm going to tell him first thing in the morning!" He thought to himself.
He was now content and felt that pressure on him gone! He was real glad, but had his doubts too.
He fell deeper into the mattress, feeling lighter and peaceful. He could finally rest now.
A single ray of sunlight crept into his room. It spread across the whole room and could already tell that it was morning.
He opened his eyes, stretched his arms and got put off bed. He prepared himself and did his morning routine. Afterwards, he then left his house and went straight to Chanyeol's.
He knocked on his door only to have it answered by the wretched witch herself.
"Autumn." He said blankly.
All the girl did was yawn and rub her eyes as if she had just woken up. She looked real tired and blue. She wasn't pretty jolly today.
"...Baekhyun." She replied, obviously annoyed.
"What do YOU want?"
Baekhyun stared her down and gave her a glare before answering,
"I'm here for Chanyeol."
"Why? He's still asleep and haven't you two spent enough time on each other already? I mean come on! Stop being such an obsessive friend and give him some space!" She whined.
"I'd say the same thing about you, cheater."
Autumn suddenly froze, she totally forgot about him being in the party last night. He witnessed EVERYTHING. She was speechless for a while, but quickly smirked as she had finally thought of something to keep his mouth shut.
"You know, Baekhyun. I guess it's not a good idea you tell Chanyeol about the little incident last night..." She began.
"Why? Plus it wasn't an incident, you two did that on purpose."
"Yeah, I'm quite aware of that. But if you tell him about me cheatin' on him, he won't believe a word you say. He's currently head over heels for me and what type of inconsiderate boyfriend would believe such a thing about his lovey-dovey girlfriend cheating on him?"
And with that Baekhyun had been defeated by the tempest. She was...right.
He fell silent and continued to listen to her devilish threat.
"He won't listen to you. But would loathe you instead for saying such foul things about me! And to add to the effect, I'm just gonna wrap my arms around his waist and try to act all pure and innocent, which would put you in an even worse situation."
She let out a quiet chuckle as she leaned in closer to whisper something into his ear,
"And your precious friend will become an enemy."
Baekhyun was dumbfounded. This girl was smarter than she looked! He narrowed his brows in anger and stormed out, leaving a very happy Autumn leaning on the door, feeling good about herself.
He clenched his fists. He was just...mad. He'd only hoped that Chanyeol was sharp enough to realize her evil intentions before it was too late.
"Please. Don't let her fool you."
