A certain wide-eyed brunette awoke from her slumber as she rubbed her tired eyes. She gave off an equally tired yawn whilst stretching her limbs out.

Her name was Autumn.

She carefully slipped out of her soft bed and scratched her head due to her being nervous; it was the first day of college and she was quite flustered.

She stepped closer to her mirror and began practicing her "happy-happy" act. Autumn wasn't that popular back in highschool not until 4th year, when she started being all loud, bubbly and sweet. But before that, fitting in was a pretty hard job for her to do. She wasn't that talkative too, which left her with no friends. So she was extremely determined on leaving a good impression on her new schoolmates.

"Hi, my name's Autumn May! And you are?" she began.

A loose sigh came out of her pale lips as she looked down on the floor, anxious.

"How am I going to do this?" she complained.

She slumped against the wall and closed her eyes.

"Autumn, it's time for class! Hurry up!" her mother called.

"Ah, I'll be down in a minute, mom!" she replied.

She quickly changed her clothes, brushed her hair and teeth, grabbed her bag and ran downstairs.

She gave her a mom a wave good-bye before heading straight to her car.
